وَالْعَادِيَاتِ ضَبْحًا |

| فالموريات قدحا
فَالْمُورِيَاتِ قَدْحًا |

| Yusuf Ali | And strike sparks of fire,

| Words | |فالموريات - And the producers of sparks,| قدحا - striking| |
| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر جو پتھروں پر سُم مار کر چنگاریاں نکالتے ہیں، |

| فالمغيرات صبحا
فَالْمُغِيرَاتِ صُبْحًا |

| Yusuf Ali | And push home the charge in the morning,
|
| Words | |فالمغيرات - And the chargers| صبحا - (at) dawn,| |
| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر جو صبح ہوتے ہی (دشمن پر) اچانک حملہ کر ڈالتے ہیں، |

[100:4] | Faatharna bihi naqAAan
| فأثرن به نقعا
فَأَثَرْنَ بِهِ نَقْعًا |

| Yusuf Ali | And raise the dust in clouds the while,

| Words | |فأثرن - Then raise| به - thereby| نقعا - dust,| |
| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر وہ اس (حملے والی) جگہ سے گرد و غبار اڑاتے ہیں، |

[100:5] | Fawasatna bihi jamAAan
| فوسطن به جمعا
فَوَسَطْنَ بِهِ جَمْعًا |

| Yusuf Ali | And penetrate forthwith into the midst (of the foe) en masse;-
|
| Words | |فوسطن - Then penetrate (in the) center| به - thereby| جمعا - collectively| |
| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر وہ اسی وقت (دشمن کے) لشکر میں گھس جاتے ہیں، |

[100:6] | Inna al-insana lirabbihi lakanoodun
| إن الإنسان لربه لكنود
إِنَّ الْإِنسَانَ لِرَبِّهِ لَكَنُودٌ |

| Yusuf Ali | Truly man is, to his Lord, ungrateful;
|
| Words | |إن - Indeed,| الإنسان - mankind,| لربه - to his Lord,| لكنود - (is) surely ungrateful.| |
| Tahir ul Qadri | بیشک انسان اپنے رب کا بڑا ہی ناشکرا ہے، |

[100:7] | Wa-innahu AAala thalikalashaheedun
| وإنه على ذلك لشهيد
وَإِنَّهُ عَلَى ذَلِكَ لَشَهِيدٌ |

| Yusuf Ali | And to that (fact) he bears witness (by his deeds);

| Words | |وإنه - And indeed, he| على - on| ذلك - that| لشهيد - surely (is) a witness,| |
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور یقیناً وہ اس (ناشکری) پر خود گواہ ہے، |

[100:8] | Wa-innahu lihubbi alkhayri lashadeedun
| وإنه لحب الخير لشديد
وَإِنَّهُ لِحُبِّ الْخَيْرِ لَشَدِيدٌ |

| Yusuf Ali | And violent is he in his love of wealth.
|
| Words | |وإنه - And indeed he| لحب - in (the) love| الخير - (of) wealth| لشديد - (is) surely intense.| |
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور بیشک وہ مال کی محبت میں بہت سخت ہے، |

[100:9] | Afala yaAAlamu itha buAAthira mafee alquboori
| أفلا يعلم إذا بعثر ما في القبور
أَفَلَا يَعْلَمُ إِذَا بُعْثِرَ مَا فِي الْقُبُورِ |

| Yusuf Ali | Does he not know,- when that which is in the graves is scattered abroad
|
| Words | |أفلا - But does not| يعلم - he know| إذا - when| بعثر - will be scattered| ما - what| في - (is) in| القبور - the graves,| |
| Tahir ul Qadri | تو کیا اسے معلوم نہیں جب وہ (مُردے) اٹھائے جائیں گے جو قبروں میں ہیں، |

[100:10] | Wahussila ma fee alssudoori
| وحصل ما في الصدور
وَحُصِّلَ مَا فِي الصُّدُورِ |

| Yusuf Ali | And that which is (locked up) in (human) breasts is made manifest-
|
| Words | |وحصل - And is made apparent| ما - what| في - (is) in| الصدور - the breasts?| |
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور (راز) ظاہر کر دیئے جائیں گے جو سینوں میں ہیں، |

[100:11] | Inna rabbahum bihim yawma-ithinlakhabeerun
| إن ربهم بهم يومئذ لخبير
إِنَّ رَبَّهُم بِهِمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ لَّخَبِيرٌ |

| Yusuf Ali | That their Lord had been Well-acquainted with them, (even to) that Day?
|
| Words | |إن - Indeed,| ربهم - their Lord| بهم - about them,| يومئذ - that Day,| لخبير - (is) surely All-Aware.| |
| Tahir ul Qadri | بیشک ان کا رب اس دن ان (کے اعمال) سے خوب خبردار ہوگا، |
