|  يا أيها الذين آمنوا أوفوا بالعقود أحلت لكم بهيمة الأنعام إلا ما يتلى عليكم غير محلي الصيد وأنتم حرم إن الله يحكم ما يريد
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ أَوْفُواْ بِالْعُقُودِ أُحِلَّتْ لَكُم بَهِيمَةُ الْأَنْعَامِ إِلاَّ مَا يُتْلَى عَلَيْكُمْ غَيْرَ مُحِلِّي الصَّيْدِ وَأَنتُمْ حُرُمٌ إِنَّ اللّهَ يَحْكُمُ مَا يُرِيدُ |

| Yusuf Ali | O ye who believe! fulfil (all) obligations. Lawful unto you (for food) are all four-footed animals, with the exceptions named: But animals of the chase are forbidden while ye are in the sacred precincts or in pilgrim garb: for Allah doth command according to His will and plan.

| يا أيها الذين آمنوا لا تحلوا شعائر الله ولا الشهر الحرام ولا الهدي ولا القلائد ولا آمين البيت الحرام يبتغون فضلا من ربهم ورضوانا وإذا حللتم فاصطادوا ولا يجرمنكم شنآن قوم أن صدوكم عن المسجد الحرام أن تعتدوا وتعاونوا على البر والتقوى ولا تعاونوا على الإثم والعدوان واتقوا الله إن الله شديد العقاب
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ لاَ تُحِلُّواْ شَعَآئِرَ اللّهِ وَلاَ الشَّهْرَ الْحَرَامَ وَلاَ الْهَدْيَ وَلاَ الْقَلآئِدَ وَلاَ آمِّينَ الْبَيْتَ الْحَرَامَ يَبْتَغُونَ فَضْلاً مِّن رَّبِّهِمْ وَرِضْوَانًا وَإِذَا حَلَلْتُمْ فَاصْطَادُواْ وَلاَ يَجْرِمَنَّكُمْ شَنَآنُ قَوْمٍ أَن صَدُّوكُمْ عَنِ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ أَن تَعْتَدُواْ وَتَعَاوَنُواْ عَلَى الْـبِـرِّ وَالتَّقْوَى وَلاَ تَعَاوَنُواْ عَلَى الْإِثْمِ وَالْعُدْوَانِ وَاتَّقُواْ اللّهَ إِنَّ اللّهَ شَدِيدُ الْعِقَابِ |

| Yusuf Ali | O ye who believe! Violate not the sanctity of the symbols of Allah, nor of the sacred month, nor of the animals brought for sacrifice, nor the garlands that mark out such animals, nor the people resorting to the sacred house, seeking of the bounty and good pleasure of their Lord. But when ye are clear of the sacred precincts and of pilgrim garb, ye may hunt and let not the hatred of some people in (once) shutting you out of the Sacred Mosque lead you to transgression (and hostility on your part). Help ye one another in righteousness and piety, but help ye not one another in sin and rancour: fear Allah: for Allah is strict in punishment.

| Tahir ul Qadri | اے ایمان والو! اﷲ کی نشانیوں کی بے حرمتی نہ کرو اور نہ حرمت (و ادب) والے مہینے کی (یعنی ذوالقعدہ، ذوالحجہ، محرم اور رجب میں سے کسی ماہ کی) اور نہ حرمِ کعبہ کو بھیجے ہوئے قربانی کے جانوروں کی اور نہ مکّہ لائے جانے والے ان جانوروں کی جن کے گلے میں علامتی پٹے ہوں اور نہ حرمت والے گھر (یعنی خانہ کعبہ) کا قصد کرکے آنے والوں (کے جان و مال اور عزت و آبرو) کی (بے حرمتی کرو کیونکہ یہ وہ لوگ ہیں) جو اپنے رب کا فضل اور رضا تلاش کر رہے ہیں، اور جب تم حالتِ اِحرام سے باہر نکل آؤ تو تم شکار کرسکتے ہو، اور تمہیں کسی قوم کی (یہ) دشمنی کہ انہوں نے تم کو مسجدِ حرام (یعنی خانہ کعبہ کی حاضری) سے روکا تھا اس بات پر ہرگز نہ ابھارے کہ تم (ان کے ساتھ) زیادتی کرو، اور نیکی اور پرہیزگاری (کے کاموں) پر ایک دوسرے کی مدد کیا کرو اور گناہ اور ظلم (کے کاموں) پر ایک دوسرے کی مدد نہ کرو اور اﷲ سے ڈرتے رہو۔ بیشک اﷲ (نافرمانی کرنے والوں کو) سخت سزا دینے والا ہے، |

| حرمت عليكم الميتة والدم ولحم الخنزير وما أهل لغير الله به والمنخنقة والموقوذة والمتردية والنطيحة وما أكل السبع إلا ما ذكيتم وما ذبح على النصب وأن تستقسموا بالأزلام ذلكم فسق اليوم يئس الذين كفروا من دينكم فلا تخشوهم واخشون اليوم أكملت لكم دينكم وأتممت عليكم نعمتي ورضيت لكم الإسلام دينا فمن اضطر في مخمصة غير متجانف لإثم فإن الله غفور رحيم
حُرِّمَتْ عَلَيْكُمُ الْمَيْتَةُ وَالْدَّمُ وَلَحْمُ الْخِنْزِيرِ وَمَا أُهِلَّ لِغَيْرِ اللّهِ بِهِ وَالْمُنْخَنِقَةُ وَالْمَوْقُوذَةُ وَالْمُتَرَدِّيَةُ وَالنَّطِيحَةُ وَمَا أَكَلَ السَّبُعُ إِلاَّ مَا ذَكَّيْتُمْ وَمَا ذُبِحَ عَلَى النُّصُبِ وَأَن تَسْتَقْسِمُواْ بِالْأَزْلاَمِ ذَلِكُمْ فِسْقٌ الْيَوْمَ يَئِسَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ مِن دِينِكُمْ فَلاَ تَخْشَوْهُمْ وَاخْشَوْنِ الْيَوْمَ أَكْمَلْتُ لَكُمْ دِينَكُمْ وَأَتْمَمْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ نِعْمَتِي وَرَضِيتُ لَكُمُ الْإِسْلاَمَ دِينًا فَمَنِ اضْطُرَّ فِي مَخْمَصَةٍ غَيْرَ مُتَجَانِفٍ لِّإِثْمٍ فَإِنَّ اللّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ |

| Yusuf Ali | Forbidden to you (for food) are: dead meat, blood, the flesh of swine, and that on which hath been invoked the name of other than Allah; that which hath been killed by strangling, or by a violent blow, or by a headlong fall, or by being gored to death; that which hath been (partly) eaten by a wild animal; unless ye are able to slaughter it (in due form); that which is sacrificed on stone (altars); (forbidden) also is the division (of meat) by raffling with arrows: that is impiety. This day have those who reject faith given up all hope of your religion: yet fear them not but fear Me. This day have I perfected your religion for you, completed My favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion. But if any is forced by hunger, with no inclination to transgression, Allah is indeed Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.

| Tahir ul Qadri | تم پر مردار (یعنی بغیر شرعی ذبح کے مرنے والا جانور) حرام کر دیا گیا ہے اور (بہایا ہوا) خون اور سؤر کا گوشت اور وہ (جانور) جس پر ذبح کے وقت غیر اﷲ کا نام پکارا گیا ہو اور گلا گھٹ کر مرا ہوا (جانور) اور (دھار دار آلے کے بغیر کسی چیز کی) ضرب سے مرا ہوا اور اوپر سے گر کر مرا ہوا اور (کسی جانور کے) سینگ مارنے سے مرا ہوا اور وہ (جانور) جسے درندے نے پھاڑ کھایا ہو سوائے اس کے جسے (مرنے سے پہلے) تم نے ذبح کر لیا، اور (وہ جانور بھی حرام ہے) جو باطل معبودوں کے تھانوں (یعنی بتوں کے لئے مخصوص کی گئی قربان گاہوں) پر ذبح کیا گیا ہو اور یہ (بھی حرام ہے) کہ تم پانسوں (یعنی فال کے تیروں) کے ذریعے قسمت کا حال معلوم کرو (یا حصے تقسیم کرو)، یہ سب کام گناہ ہیں۔ آج کافر لوگ تمہارے دین (کے غالب آجانے کے باعث اپنے ناپاک ارادوں) سے مایوس ہو گئے، سو (اے مسلمانو!) تم ان سے مت ڈرو اور مجھ ہی سے ڈرا کرو۔ آج میں نے تمہارے لئے تمہارا دین مکمل کر دیا اور تم پر اپنی نعمت پوری کر دی اور تمہارے لئے اسلام کو (بطور) دین (یعنی مکمل نظامِ حیات کی حیثیت سے) پسند کر لیا۔ پھر اگر کوئی شخص بھوک (اور پیاس) کی شدت میں اضطراری (یعنی انتہائی مجبوری کی) حالت کو پہنچ جائے (اس شرط کے ساتھ) کہ گناہ کی طرف مائل ہونے والا نہ ہو (یعنی حرام چیز گناہ کی رغبت کے باعث نہ کھائے) تو بیشک اﷲ بہت بخشنے والا نہایت مہربان ہے، |

| يسألونك ماذا أحل لهم قل أحل لكم الطيبات وما علمتم من الجوارح مكلبين تعلمونهن مما علمكم الله فكلوا مما أمسكن عليكم واذكروا اسم الله عليه واتقوا الله إن الله سريع الحساب
يَسْأَلُونَكَ مَاذَا أُحِلَّ لَهُمْ قُلْ أُحِلَّ لَكُمُ الطَّيِّبَاتُ وَمَا عَلَّمْتُم مِّنَ الْجَوَارِحِ مُكَلِّبِينَ تُعَلِّمُونَهُنَّ مِمَّا عَلَّمَكُمُ اللّهُ فَكُلُواْ مِمَّا أَمْسَكْنَ عَلَيْكُمْ وَاذْكُرُواْ اسْمَ اللّهِ عَلَيْهِ وَاتَّقُواْ اللّهَ إِنَّ اللّهَ سَرِيعُ الْحِسَابِ |

| Tahir ul Qadri | لوگ آپ سے سوال کرتے ہیں کہ ان کے لئے کیا چیزیں حلال کی گئی ہیں، آپ (ان سے) فرما دیں کہ تمہارے لئے پاک چیزیں حلال کر دی گئی ہیں اور وہ شکاری جانور جنہیں تم نے شکار پر دوڑاتے ہوئے یوں سدھار لیا ہے کہ تم انہیں (شکار کے وہ طریقے) سکھاتے ہو جو تمہیں اﷲ نے سکھائے ہیں، سو تم اس (شکار) میں سے (بھی) کھاؤ جو وہ (شکاری جانور) تمہارے لئے (مار کر) روک رکھیں اور (شکار پر چھوڑتے وقت) اس (شکاری جانور) پر اﷲ کا نام لیا کرو اور اﷲ سے ڈرتے رہو۔ بیشک اﷲ حساب میں جلدی فرمانے والا ہے، |

[5:5] | Alyawma ohilla lakumu alttayyibatuwataAAamu allatheena ootoo alkitaba hillunlakum wataAAamukum hillun lahum waalmuhsanatumina almu/minati waalmuhsanatu minaallatheena ootoo alkitaba min qablikum itha ataytumoohunnaojoorahunna muhsineena ghayra musafiheenawala muttakhithee akhdanin waman yakfur bial-eemanifaqad habita AAamaluhu wahuwa fee al-akhiratimina alkhasireena
| اليوم أحل لكم الطيبات وطعام الذين أوتوا الكتاب حل لكم وطعامكم حل لهم والمحصنات من المؤمنات والمحصنات من الذين أوتوا الكتاب من قبلكم إذا آتيتموهن أجورهن محصنين غير مسافحين ولا متخذي أخدان ومن يكفر بالإيمان فقد حبط عمله وهو في الآخرة من الخاسرين
الْيَوْمَ أُحِلَّ لَكُمُ الطَّيِّبَاتُ وَطَعَامُ الَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ الْكِتَابَ حِلٌّ لَّكُمْ وَطَعَامُكُمْ حِلٌّ لَّهُمْ وَالْمُحْصَنَاتُ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنَاتِ وَالْمُحْصَنَاتُ مِنَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ الْكِتَابَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ إِذَا آتَيْتُمُوهُنَّ أُجُورَهُنَّ مُحْصِنِينَ غَيْرَ مُسَافِحِينَ وَلاَ مُتَّخِذِي أَخْدَانٍ وَمَن يَكْفُرْ بِالْإِيمَانِ فَقَدْ حَبِطَ عَمَلُهُ وَهُوَ فِي الْآخِرَةِ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ |

| Yusuf Ali | This day are (all) things good and pure made lawful unto you. The food of the People of the Book is lawful unto you and yours is lawful unto them. (Lawful unto you in marriage) are (not only) chaste women who are believers, but chaste women among the People of the Book, revealed before your time,- when ye give them their due dowers, and desire chastity, not lewdness, nor secret intrigues if any one rejects faith, fruitless is his work, and in the Hereafter he will be in the ranks of those who have lost (all spiritual good).

| Tahir ul Qadri | آج تمہارے لئے پاکیزہ چیزیں حلال کر دی گئیں، اور ان لوگوں کا ذبیحہ (بھی) جنہیں (اِلہامی) کتاب دی گئی تمہارے لئے حلال ہے اور تمہارا ذبیحہ ان کے لئے حلال ہے، اور (اسی طرح) پاک دامن مسلمان عورتیں اور ان لوگوں میں سے پاک دامن عورتیں جنہیں تم سے پہلے کتاب دی گئی تھی (تمہارے لئے حلال ہیں) جب کہ تم انہیں ان کے مَہر ادا کر دو، (مگر شرط) یہ کہ تم (انہیں) قیدِ نکاح میں لانے والے (عفت شعار) بنو نہ کہ (محض ہوس رانی کی خاطر) اِعلانیہ بدکاری کرنے والے اور نہ خفیہ آشنائی کرنے والے، اور جو شخص (اَحکامِ الٰہی پر) ایمان (لانے) سے انکار کرے تو اس کا سارا عمل برباد ہوگیا اور وہ آخرت میں (بھی) نقصان اٹھانے والوں میں سے ہوگا، |

[5:6] | Ya ayyuha allatheena amanooitha qumtum ila alssalati faighsiloowujoohakum waaydiyakum ila almarafiqi waimsahoobiruoosikum waarjulakum ila alkaAAbayni wa-in kuntumjunuban faittahharoo wa-in kuntum marda awAAala safarin aw jaa ahadun minkum mina algha-itiaw lamastumu alnnisaa falam tajidoo maanfatayammamoo saAAeedan tayyiban faimsahoobiwujoohikum waaydeekum minhu ma yureedu AllahuliyajAAala AAalaykum min harajin walakin yureeduliyutahhirakum waliyutimma niAAmatahu AAalaykumlaAAallakum tashkuroona
| يا أيها الذين آمنوا إذا قمتم إلى الصلاة فاغسلوا وجوهكم وأيديكم إلى المرافق وامسحوا برءوسكم وأرجلكم إلى الكعبين وإن كنتم جنبا فاطهروا وإن كنتم مرضى أو على سفر أو جاء أحد منكم من الغائط أو لامستم النساء فلم تجدوا ماء فتيمموا صعيدا طيبا فامسحوا بوجوهكم وأيديكم منه ما يريد الله ليجعل عليكم من حرج ولكن يريد ليطهركم وليتم نعمته عليكم لعلكم تشكرون
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ إِذَا قُمْتُمْ إِلَى الصَّلاَةِ فَاغْسِلُواْ وُجُوهَكُمْ وَأَيْدِيَكُمْ إِلَى الْمَرَافِقِ وَامْسَحُواْ بِرُؤُوسِكُمْ وَأَرْجُلَكُمْ إِلَى الْكَعْبَينِ وَإِن كُنْتُمْ جُنُبًا فَاطَّهَّرُواْ وَإِن كُنتُم مَّرْضَى أَوْ عَلَى سَفَرٍ أَوْ جَاءَ أَحَدٌ مِّنكُم مِّنَ الْغَائِطِ أَوْ لاَمَسْتُمُ النِّسَاءَ فَلَمْ تَجِدُواْ مَاءً فَتَيَمَّمُواْ صَعِيدًا طَيِّبًا فَامْسَحُواْ بِوُجُوهِكُمْ وَأَيْدِيكُم مِّنْهُ مَا يُرِيدُ اللّهُ لِيَجْعَلَ عَلَيْكُم مِّنْ حَرَجٍ وَلَـكِن يُرِيدُ لِيُطَهِّرَكُمْ وَلِيُتِمَّ نِعْمَتَهُ عَلَيْكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ |

| Yusuf Ali | O ye who believe! when ye prepare for prayer, wash your faces, and your hands (and arms) to the elbows; Rub your heads (with water); and (wash) your feet to the ankles. If ye are in a state of ceremonial impurity, bathe your whole body. But if ye are ill, or on a journey, or one of you cometh from offices of nature, or ye have been in contact with women, and ye find no water, then take for yourselves clean sand or earth, and rub therewith your faces and hands, Allah doth not wish to place you in a difficulty, but to make you clean, and to complete his favour to you, that ye may be grateful.

| Tahir ul Qadri | اے ایمان والو! جب (تمہارا) نماز کیلئے کھڑے (ہونے کا ارادہ) ہو تو (وضو کے لئے) اپنے چہروں کو اور اپنے ہاتھوں کو کہنیوں سمیت دھو لو اور اپنے سروں کا مسح کرو اور اپنے پاؤں (بھی) ٹخنوں سمیت (دھو لو)، اور اگر تم حالتِ جنابت میں ہو تو (نہا کر) خوب پاک ہو جاؤ، اور اگر تم بیمار ہو یا سفر میں ہو یا تم سے کوئی رفعِ حاجت سے (فارغ ہو کر) آیا ہو یا تم نے عورتوں سے قربت (مجامعت) کی ہو پھر تم پانی نہ پاؤ تو (اندریں صورت) پاک مٹی سے تیمم کر لیا کرو۔ پس (تیمم یہ ہے کہ) اس (پاک مٹی) سے اپنے چہروں اور اپنے (پورے) ہاتھوں کا مسح کر لو۔ اﷲ نہیں چاہتا کہ وہ تمہارے اوپر کسی قسم کی سختی کرے لیکن وہ (یہ) چاہتا ہے کہ تمہیں پاک کردے اور تم پر اپنی نعمت پوری کر دے تاکہ تم شکر گزار بن جاؤ، |

[5:7] | Waothkuroo niAAmata AllahiAAalaykum wameethaqahu allathee wathaqakumbihi ith qultum samiAAna waataAAna waittaqooAllaha inna Allaha AAaleemun bithati alssudoori
| واذكروا نعمة الله عليكم وميثاقه الذي واثقكم به إذ قلتم سمعنا وأطعنا واتقوا الله إن الله عليم بذات الصدور
وَاذْكُرُواْ نِعْمَةَ اللّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَمِيثَاقَهُ الَّذِي وَاثَقَكُم بِهِ إِذْ قُلْتُمْ سَمِعْنَا وَأَطَعْنَا وَاتَّقُواْ اللّهَ إِنَّ اللّهَ عَلِيمٌ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُورِ |

| Yusuf Ali | And call in remembrance the favour of Allah unto you, and His covenant, which He ratified with you, when ye said: "We hear and we obey": And fear Allah, for Allah knoweth well the secrets of your hearts.

[5:8] | Ya ayyuha allatheena amanookoonoo qawwameena lillahi shuhadaa bialqistiwala yajrimannakum shanaanu qawmin AAala allataAAdiloo iAAdiloo huwa aqrabu lilttaqwa waittaqooAllaha inna Allaha khabeerun bima taAAmaloona
| يا أيها الذين آمنوا كونوا قوامين لله شهداء بالقسط ولا يجرمنكم شنآن قوم على ألا تعدلوا اعدلوا هو أقرب للتقوى واتقوا الله إن الله خبير بما تعملون
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ كُونُواْ قَوَّامِينَ لِلّهِ شُهَدَاءَ بِالْقِسْطِ وَلاَ يَجْرِمَنَّكُمْ شَنَآنُ قَوْمٍ عَلَى أَلاَّ تَعْدِلُواْ اعْدِلُواْ هُوَ أَقْرَبُ لِلتَّقْوَى وَاتَّقُواْ اللّهَ إِنَّ اللّهَ خَبِيرٌ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ |

| Yusuf Ali | O ye who believe! stand out firmly for Allah, as witnesses to fair dealing, and let not the hatred of others to you make you swerve to wrong and depart from justice. Be just: that is next to piety: and fear Allah. For Allah is well-acquainted with all that ye do.

| Tahir ul Qadri | اے ایمان والو! اﷲ کے لئے مضبوطی سے قائم رہتے ہوئے انصاف پر مبنی گواہی دینے والے ہو جاؤ اور کسی قوم کی سخت دشمنی (بھی) تمہیں اس بات پر برانگیختہ نہ کرے کہ تم (اس سے) عدل نہ کرو۔ عدل کیا کرو (کہ) وہ پرہیزگاری سے نزدیک تر ہے، اور اﷲ سے ڈرا کرو، بیشک اﷲ تمہارے کاموں سے خوب آگاہ ہے، |

[5:9] | WaAAada Allahu allatheena amanoowaAAamiloo alssalihati lahum maghfiratunwaajrun AAatheemun
| وعد الله الذين آمنوا وعملوا الصالحات لهم مغفرة وأجر عظيم
وَعَدَ اللّهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ الصَّالِحَاتِ لَهُم مَّغْفِرَةٌ وَأَجْرٌ عَظِيمٌ |

| Yusuf Ali | To those who believe and do deeds of righteousness hath Allah promised forgiveness and a great reward.

[5:10] | Waallatheena kafaroo wakaththaboobi-ayatina ola-ika as-habualjaheemi
| والذين كفروا وكذبوا بآياتنا أولئك أصحاب الجحيم
وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ وَكَذَّبُواْ بِآيَاتِنَا أُوْلَـئِكَ أَصْحَابُ الْجَحِيمِ |

| Yusuf Ali | Those who reject faith and deny our signs will be companions of Hell-fire.

| Words | |والذين - And those who| كفروا - disbelieve| وكذبوا - and deny| بآياتنا - Our Signs -| أولئك - those| أصحاب - (are the) companions| الجحيم - (of) the Hellfire.| |

[5:11] | Ya ayyuha allatheena amanooothkuroo niAAmata Allahi AAalaykum ith hammaqawmun an yabsutoo ilaykum aydiyahum fakaffa aydiyahumAAankum waittaqoo Allaha waAAala Allahifalyatawakkali almu/minoona
| يا أيها الذين آمنوا اذكروا نعمت الله عليكم إذ هم قوم أن يبسطوا إليكم أيديهم فكف أيديهم عنكم واتقوا الله وعلى الله فليتوكل المؤمنون
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ اذْكُرُواْ نِعْمَتَ اللّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذْ هَمَّ قَوْمٌ أَن يَبْسُطُواْ إِلَيْكُمْ أَيْدِيَهُمْ فَكَفَّ أَيْدِيَهُمْ عَنكُمْ وَاتَّقُواْ اللّهَ وَعَلَى اللّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ |

| Yusuf Ali | O ye who believe! Call in remembrance the favour of Allah unto you when certain men formed the design to stretch out their hands against you, but (Allah) held back their hands from you: so fear Allah. And on Allah let believers put (all) their trust.

[5:12] | Walaqad akhatha Allahu meethaqabanee isra-eela wabaAAathna minhumu ithnay AAasharanaqeeban waqala Allahu innee maAAakum la-inaqamtumu alssalata waataytumu alzzakatawaamantum birusulee waAAazzartumoohum waaqradtumuAllaha qardan hasanan laokaffiranna AAankumsayyi-atikum walaodkhilannakum jannatin tajree mintahtiha al-anharu faman kafara baAAda thalikaminkum faqad dalla sawaa alssabeeli
| ولقد أخذ الله ميثاق بني إسرائيل وبعثنا منهم اثني عشر نقيبا وقال الله إني معكم لئن أقمتم الصلاة وآتيتم الزكاة وآمنتم برسلي وعزرتموهم وأقرضتم الله قرضا حسنا لأكفرن عنكم سيئاتكم ولأدخلنكم جنات تجري من تحتها الأنهار فمن كفر بعد ذلك منكم فقد ضل سواء السبيل
وَلَقَدْ أَخَذَ اللّهُ مِيثَاقَ بَنِي إِسْرَآئِيلَ وَبَعَثْنَا مِنهُمُ اثْنَيْ عَشَرَ نَقِيبًا وَقَالَ اللّهُ إِنِّي مَعَكُمْ لَئِنْ أَقَمْتُمُ الصَّلاَةَ وَآتَيْتُمُ الزَّكَاةَ وَآمَنتُم بِرُسُلِي وَعَزَّرْتُمُوهُمْ وَأَقْرَضْتُمُ اللّهَ قَرْضًا حَسَنًا لَّأُكَفِّرَنَّ عَنكُمْ سَيِّئَاتِكُمْ وَلَأُدْخِلَنَّكُمْ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ فَمَن كَفَرَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ مِنكُمْ فَقَدْ ضَلَّ سَوَاءَ السَّبِيلِ |

| Yusuf Ali | Allah did aforetime take a covenant from the Children of Israel, and we appointed twelve captains among them. And Allah said: "I am with you: if ye (but) establish regular prayers, practise regular charity, believe in my messengers, honour and assist them, and loan to Allah a beautiful loan, verily I will wipe out from you your evils, and admit you to gardens with rivers flowing beneath; but if any of you, after this, resisteth faith, he hath truly wandered from the path or rectitude."

| Tahir ul Qadri | اور بیشک اﷲ نے بنی اسرائیل سے پختہ عہد لیا اور (اس کی تعمیل، تنفیذ اور نگہبانی کے لئے) ہم نے ان میں بارہ سردار مقرر کئے، اور اﷲ نے (بنی اسرائیل سے) فرمایا کہ میں تمہارے ساتھ ہوں (یعنی میری خصوصی مدد و نصرت تمہارے ساتھ رہے گی)، اگر تم نے نماز قائم رکھی اور تم زکوٰۃ دیتے رہے اور میرے رسولوں پر (ہمیشہ) ایمان لاتے رہے اور ان (کے پیغمبرانہ مشن) کی مدد کرتے رہے اور اﷲ کو (اس کے دین کی حمایت و نصرت میں مال خرچ کرکے) قرضِ حسن دیتے رہے تو میں تم سے تمہارے گناہوں کو ضرور مٹا دوں گا اور تمہیں یقیناً ایسی جنتوں میں داخل کر دوں گا جن کے نیچے نہریں جاری ہیں۔ پھر اس کے بعد تم میں سے جس نے (بھی) کفر (یعنی عہد سے انحراف) کیا تو بیشک وہ سیدھی راہ سے بھٹک گیا، |

[5:13] | Fabima naqdihim meethaqahumlaAAannahum wajaAAalna quloobahum qasiyatanyuharrifoona alkalima AAan mawadiAAihi wanasoo haththanmimma thukkiroo bihi wala tazalu tattaliAAuAAala kha-inatin minhum illa qaleelan minhumfaoAAfu AAanhum waisfah inna Allahayuhibbu almuhsineena
| فبما نقضهم ميثاقهم لعناهم وجعلنا قلوبهم قاسية يحرفون الكلم عن مواضعه ونسوا حظا مما ذكروا به ولا تزال تطلع على خائنة منهم إلا قليلا منهم فاعف عنهم واصفح إن الله يحب المحسنين
فَبِمَا نَقْضِهِم مِّيثَاقَهُمْ لَعَنَّاهُمْ وَجَعَلْنَا قُلُوبَهُمْ قَاسِيَةً يُحَرِّفُونَ الْكَلِمَ عَن مَّوَاضِعِهِ وَنَسُواْ حَظًّا مِّمَّا ذُكِّرُواْ بِهِ وَلاَ تَزَالُ تَطَّلِعُ عَلَى خَآئِنَةٍ مِّنْهُمْ إِلاَّ قَلِيلاً مِّنْهُمْ فَاعْفُ عَنْهُمْ وَاصْفَحْ إِنَّ اللّهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُحْسِنِينَ |

| Yusuf Ali | But because of their breach of their covenant, We cursed them, and made their hearts grow hard; they change the words from their (right) places and forget a good part of the message that was sent them, nor wilt thou cease to find them- barring a few - ever bent on (new) deceits: but forgive them, and overlook (their misdeeds): for Allah loveth those who are kind.

| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر ان کی اپنی عہد شکنی کی وجہ سے ہم نے ان پر لعنت کی (یعنی وہ ہماری رحمت سے محروم ہوگئے)، اور ہم نے ان کے دلوں کو سخت کر دیا (یعنی وہ ہدایت اور اثر پذیری سے محروم ہوگئے، چنانچہ) وہ لوگ (کتابِ الٰہی کے) کلمات کو ان کے (صحیح) مقامات سے بدل دیتے ہیں اور اس (رہنمائی) کا ایک (بڑا) حصہ بھول گئے ہیں جس کی انہیں نصیحت کی گئی تھی، اور آپ ہمیشہ ان کی کسی نہ کسی خیانت پر مطلع ہوتے رہیں گے سوائے ان میں سے چند ایک کے (جو ایمان لا چکے ہیں) سو آپ انہیں معاف فرما دیجئے اور درگزر فرمائیے، بیشک اﷲ احسان کرنے والوں کو پسند فرماتا ہے، |

[5:14] | Wamina allatheena qaloo innanasara akhathna meethaqahumfanasoo haththan mimma thukkiroobihi faaghrayna baynahumu alAAadawata waalbaghdaaila yawmi alqiyamati wasawfa yunabbi-ohumu Allahubima kanoo yasnaAAoona
| ومن الذين قالوا إنا نصارى أخذنا ميثاقهم فنسوا حظا مما ذكروا به فأغرينا بينهم العداوة والبغضاء إلى يوم القيامة وسوف ينبئهم الله بما كانوا يصنعون
وَمِنَ الَّذِينَ قَالُواْ إِنَّا نَصَارَى أَخَذْنَا مِيثَاقَهُمْ فَنَسُواْ حَظًّا مِّمَّا ذُكِّرُواْ بِهِ فَأَغْرَيْنَا بَيْنَهُمُ الْعَدَاوَةَ وَالْبَغْضَاءَ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ وَسَوْفَ يُنَبِّئُهُمُ اللّهُ بِمَا كَانُواْ يَصْنَعُونَ |

| Yusuf Ali | From those, too, who call themselves Christians, We did take a covenant, but they forgot a good part of the message that was sent them: so we estranged them, with enmity and hatred between the one and the other, to the day of judgment. And soon will Allah show them what it is they have done.

| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ہم نے ان لوگوں سے (بھی اسی قسم کا) عہد لیا تھا جو کہتے ہیں: ہم نصاریٰ ہیں، پھر وہ (بھی) اس (رہنمائی) کا ایک (بڑا) حصہ فراموش کر بیٹھے جس کی انہیں نصیحت کی گئی تھی۔ سو (اس بدعہدی کے باعث) ہم نے ان کے درمیان دشمنی اور کینہ روزِ قیامت تک ڈال دیا، اور عنقریب اﷲ انہیں ان (اعمال کی حقیقت) سے آگاہ فرما دے گا جو وہ کرتے رہتے تھے، |

[5:15] | Ya ahla alkitabi qad jaakumrasooluna yubayyinu lakum katheeran mimma kuntumtukhfoona mina alkitabi wayaAAfoo AAan katheerin qad jaakummina Allahi noorun wakitabun mubeenun
| يا أهل الكتاب قد جاءكم رسولنا يبين لكم كثيرا مما كنتم تخفون من الكتاب ويعفو عن كثير قد جاءكم من الله نور وكتاب مبين
يَا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ قَدْ جَاءَكُمْ رَسُولُنَا يُبَيِّنُ لَكُمْ كَثِيرًا مِّمَّا كُنْتُمْ تُخْفُونَ مِنَ الْكِتَابِ وَيَعْفُواْ عَن كَثِيرٍ قَدْ جَاءَكُم مِّنَ اللّهِ نُورٌ وَكِتَابٌ مُّبِينٌ |

| Yusuf Ali | O people of the Book! There hath come to you our Messenger, revealing to you much that ye used to hide in the Book, and passing over much (that is now unnecessary): There hath come to you from Allah a (new) light and a perspicuous Book, -

| يهدي به الله من اتبع رضوانه سبل السلام ويخرجهم من الظلمات إلى النور بإذنه ويهديهم إلى صراط مستقيم
يَهْدِي بِهِ اللّهُ مَنِ اتَّبَعَ رِضْوَانَهُ سُبُلَ السَّلاَمِ وَيُخْرِجُهُم مِّنِ الظُّلُمَاتِ إِلَى النُّورِ بِإِذْنِهِ وَيَهْدِيهِمْ إِلَى صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ |

| Yusuf Ali | Wherewith Allah guideth all who seek His good pleasure to ways of peace and safety, and leadeth them out of darkness, by His will, unto the light,- guideth them to a path that is straight.

| لقد كفر الذين قالوا إن الله هو المسيح ابن مريم قل فمن يملك من الله شيئا إن أراد أن يهلك المسيح ابن مريم وأمه ومن في الأرض جميعا ولله ملك السماوات والأرض وما بينهما يخلق ما يشاء والله على كل شيء قدير
لَّقَدْ كَفَرَ الَّذِينَ قَآلُواْ إِنَّ اللّهَ هُوَ الْمَسِيحُ ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ قُلْ فَمَن يَمْلِكُ مِنَ اللّهِ شَيْئًا إِنْ أَرَادَ أَن يُهْلِكَ الْمَسِيحَ ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ وَأُمَّهُ وَمَن فِي الْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًا وَلِلّهِ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا يَخْلُقُ مَا يَشَاءُ وَاللّهُ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ |

| Yusuf Ali | In blasphemy indeed are those that say that Allah is Christ the son of Mary. Say: "Who then hath the least power against Allah, if His will were to destroy Christ the son of Mary, his mother, and all every - one that is on the earth? For to Allah belongeth the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and all that is between. He createth what He pleaseth. For Allah hath power over all things."

| Tahir ul Qadri | بیشک ان لوگوں نے کفر کیا جو کہتے ہیں کہ یقیناً اﷲ مسیح ابن مریم ہی (تو) ہے، آپ فرما دیں: پھر کون (ایسا شخص) ہے جو اﷲ (کی مشیت میں) سے کسی شے کا مالک ہو؟ اگر وہ اس بات کا ارادہ فرمالے کہ مسیح ابن مریم اور اس کی ماں اور سب زمین والوں کو ہلاک فرما دے گا (تو اس کے فیصلے کے خلاف انہیں کون بچا سکتا ہے؟) اور آسمانوں اور زمین اور جو (کائنات) ان دونوں کے درمیان ہے (سب) کی بادشاہی اﷲ ہی کے لئے ہے، وہ جو چاہتا ہے پیدا فرماتا ہے، اور اﷲ ہر چیز پر بڑا قادر ہے، |

[5:18] | Waqalati alyahoodu waalnnasaranahnu abnao Allahi waahibbaohuqul falima yuAAaththibukum bithunoobikum bal antumbasharun mimman khalaqa yaghfiru liman yashao wayuAAaththibuman yashao walillahi mulku alssamawatiwaal-ardi wama baynahuma wa-ilayhialmaseeru
| وقالت اليهود والنصارى نحن أبناء الله وأحباؤه قل فلم يعذبكم بذنوبكم بل أنتم بشر ممن خلق يغفر لمن يشاء ويعذب من يشاء ولله ملك السماوات والأرض وما بينهما وإليه المصير
وَقَالَتِ الْيَهُودُ وَالنَّصَارَى نَحْنُ أَبْنَاءُ اللّهِ وَأَحِبَّاؤُهُ قُلْ فَلِمَ يُعَذِّبُكُم بِذُنُوبِكُم بَلْ أَنتُم بَشَرٌ مِّمَّنْ خَلَقَ يَغْفِرُ لِمَن يَشَاءُ وَيُعَذِّبُ مَن يَشَاءُ وَلِلّهِ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا وَإِلَيْهِ الْمَصِيرُ |

| Yusuf Ali | (Both) the Jews and the Christians say: "We are sons of Allah, and his beloved." Say: "Why then doth He punish you for your sins? Nay, ye are but men,- of the men he hath created: He forgiveth whom He pleaseth, and He punisheth whom He pleaseth: and to Allah belongeth the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and all that is between: and unto Him is the final goal (of all)"

[5:19] | Ya ahla alkitabi qad jaakumrasooluna yubayyinu lakum AAala fatratin mina alrrusulian taqooloo ma jaana min basheerin walanatheerin faqad jaakum basheerun wanatheerunwaAllahu AAala kulli shay-in qadeerun
| يا أهل الكتاب قد جاءكم رسولنا يبين لكم على فترة من الرسل أن تقولوا ما جاءنا من بشير ولا نذير فقد جاءكم بشير ونذير والله على كل شيء قدير
يَا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ قَدْ جَاءَكُمْ رَسُولُنَا يُبَيِّنُ لَكُمْ عَلَى فَتْرَةٍ مِّنَ الرُّسُلِ أَن تَقُولُواْ مَا جَاءَنَا مِن بَشِيرٍ وَلاَ نَذِيرٍ فَقَدْ جَاءَكُم بَشِيرٌ وَنَذِيرٌ وَاللّهُ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ |

Now hath come unto you, making (things) clear unto you, Our Messenger, after the break in (the series of) our messengers, lest ye should say: "There came unto us no bringer of glad tidings and no warner (from evil)": But now hath come unto you a bringer of glad tidings and a warner (from evil). And Allah hath power over all things.

| Tahir ul Qadri | اے اہلِ کتاب! بیشک تمہارے پاس ہمارے (یہ آخر الزمان) رسول (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) پیغمبروں کی آمد (کے سلسلے) کے منقطع ہونے (کے موقع) پر تشریف لائے ہیں، جو تمہارے لئے (ہمارے احکام) خوب واضح کرتے ہیں، (اس لئے) کہ تم (عذر کرتے ہوئے یہ) کہہ دوگے کہ ہمارے پاس نہ (تو) کوئی خوشخبری سنانے والا آیا ہے اور نہ ڈر سنانے والا۔ (اب تمہارا یہ عذر بھی ختم ہو چکا ہے کیونکہ) بلاشبہ تمہارے پاس (آخری) خوشخبری سنانے اور ڈر سنانے والا (بھی) آگیا ہے، اور اﷲ ہر چیز پر بڑا قادر ہے، |

[5:20] | Wa-ith qala moosaliqawmihi ya qawmi othkuroo niAAmata AllahiAAalaykum ith jaAAala feekum anbiyaa wajaAAalakummulookan waatakum ma lam yu/ti ahadanmina alAAalameena
| وإذ قال موسى لقومه يا قوم اذكروا نعمة الله عليكم إذ جعل فيكم أنبياء وجعلكم ملوكا وآتاكم ما لم يؤت أحدا من العالمين
وَإِذْ قَالَ مُوسَى لِقَوْمِهِ يَا قَوْمِ اذْكُرُواْ نِعْمَةَ اللّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذْ جَعَلَ فِيكُمْ أَنبِيَاءَ وَجَعَلَكُم مُّلُوكًا وَآتَاكُم مَّا لَمْ يُؤْتِ أَحَدًا مِّنَ الْعَالَمِينَ |

| Yusuf Ali | Remember Moses said to his people: "O my people! Call in remembrance the favour of Allah unto you, when He produced prophets among you, made you kings, and gave you what He had not given to any other among the peoples.

[5:21] | Ya qawmi odkhuloo al-ardaalmuqaddasata allatee kataba Allahu lakum walatartaddoo AAala adbarikum fatanqaliboo khasireena
| يا قوم ادخلوا الأرض المقدسة التي كتب الله لكم ولا ترتدوا على أدباركم فتنقلبوا خاسرين
يَا قَوْمِ ادْخُلُوا الْأَرْضَ الْمُقَدَّسَةَ الَّتِي كَتَبَ اللّهُ لَكُمْ وَلاَ تَرْتَدُّوا عَلَى أَدْبَارِكُمْ فَتَنْقَلِبُوا خَاسِرِينَ |

| Yusuf Ali | "O my people! Enter the holy land which Allah hath assigned unto you, and turn not back ignominiously, for then will ye be overthrown, to your own ruin."

[5:22] | Qaloo ya moosa innafeeha qawman jabbareena wa-inna lannadkhulaha hatta yakhrujoo minhafa-in yakhrujoo minha fa-inna dakhiloona
| قالوا يا موسى إن فيها قوما جبارين وإنا لن ندخلها حتى يخرجوا منها فإن يخرجوا منها فإنا داخلون
قَالُوا يَا مُوسَى إِنَّ فِيهَا قَوْمًا جَبَّارِينَ وَإِنَّا لَن نَّدْخُلَهَا حَتَّى يَخْرُجُواْ مِنْهَا فَإِن يَخْرُجُواْ مِنْهَا فَإِنَّا دَاخِلُونَ |

| Yusuf Ali | They said: "O Moses! In this land are a people of exceeding strength: Never shall we enter it until they leave it: if (once) they leave, then shall we enter."

| Tahir ul Qadri | انہوں نے (جوابًا) کہا: اے موسٰی! اس میں تو زبردست (ظالم) لوگ (رہتے) ہیں اور ہم اس میں ہرگز داخل نہیں ہوں گے یہاں تک کہ وہ اس (زمین) سے نکل جائیں، پس اگر وہ یہاں سے نکل جائیں تو ہم ضرور داخل ہو جائیں گے، |

[5:23] | Qala rajulani mina allatheenayakhafoona anAAama Allahu AAalayhimaodkhuloo AAalayhimu albaba fa-itha dakhaltumoohufa-innakum ghaliboona waAAala Allahifatawakkaloo in kuntum mu/mineena
| قال رجلان من الذين يخافون أنعم الله عليهما ادخلوا عليهم الباب فإذا دخلتموه فإنكم غالبون وعلى الله فتوكلوا إن كنتم مؤمنين
قَالَ رَجُلاَنِ مِنَ الَّذِينَ يَخَافُونَ أَنْعَمَ اللّهُ عَلَيْهِمَا ادْخُلُواْ عَلَيْهِمُ الْبَابَ فَإِذَا دَخَلْتُمُوهُ فَإِنَّكُمْ غَالِبُونَ وَعَلَى اللّهِ فَتَوَكَّلُواْ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ |

| Yusuf Ali | (But) among (their) Allah-fearing men were two on whom Allah had bestowed His grace: They said: "Assault them at the (proper) Gate: when once ye are in, victory will be yours; But on Allah put your trust if ye have faith."

| Tahir ul Qadri | ان (چند) لوگوں میں سے جو (اﷲ سے) ڈرتے تھے دو (ایسے) شخص بول اٹھے جن پر اﷲ نے انعام فرمایا تھا (اپنی قوم سے کہنے لگے:) تم ان لوگوں پر (بلا خوف حملہ کرتے ہوئے شہر کے) دروازے سے داخل ہو جاؤ، سو جب تم اس (دروازے) میں داخل ہو جاؤ گے تو یقیناً تم غالب ہو جاؤ گے، اور اﷲ ہی پر توکل کرو بشرطیکہ تم ایمان والے ہو، |

[5:24] | Qaloo ya moosa innalan nadkhulaha abadan ma damoo feehafa-ithhab anta warabbuka faqatila innahahuna qaAAidoona
| قالوا يا موسى إنا لن ندخلها أبدا ما داموا فيها فاذهب أنت وربك فقاتلا إنا هاهنا قاعدون
قَالُواْ يَا مُوسَى إِنَّا لَن نَّدْخُلَهَا أَبَدًا مَّا دَامُواْ فِيهَا فَاذْهَبْ أَنتَ وَرَبُّكَ فَقَاتِلاَ إِنَّا هَاهُنَا قَاعِدُونَ |

| Yusuf Ali | They said: "O Moses! while they remain there, never shall we be able to enter, to the end of time. Go thou, and thy Lord, and fight ye two, while we sit here (and watch)."

| Tahir ul Qadri | انہوں نے کہا: اے موسٰی! جب تک وہ لوگ اس (سرزمین) میں ہیں ہم ہرگز کبھی بھی وہاں داخل نہیں ہوں گے، پس تم جاؤ اور تمہارا رب (ساتھ جائے) سو تم دونوں (ہی ان سے) جنگ کرو، ہم تو یہیں بیٹھے ہیں، |

[5:25] | Qala rabbi innee la amliku illanafsee waakhee faofruq baynana wabayna alqawmi alfasiqeena
| قال رب إني لا أملك إلا نفسي وأخي فافرق بيننا وبين القوم الفاسقين
قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي لاَ أَمْلِكُ إِلاَّ نَفْسِي وَأَخِي فَافْرُقْ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَ الْقَوْمِ الْفَاسِقِينَ |

| Yusuf Ali | He said: "O my Lord! I have power only over myself and my brother: so separate us from this rebellious people!"

[5:26] | Qala fa-innaha muharramatunAAalayhim arbaAAeena sanatan yateehoona fee al-ardi falata/sa AAala alqawmi alfasiqeena
| قال فإنها محرمة عليهم أربعين سنة يتيهون في الأرض فلا تأس على القوم الفاسقين
قَالَ فَإِنَّهَا مُحَرَّمَةٌ عَلَيْهِمْ أَرْبَعِينَ سَنَةً يَتِيهُونَ فِي الْأَرْضِ فَلاَ تَأْسَ عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْفَاسِقِينَ |

| Yusuf Ali | Allah said: "Therefore will the land be out of their reach for forty years: In distraction will they wander through the land: But sorrow thou not over these rebellious people.

| واتل عليهم نبأ ابني آدم بالحق إذ قربا قربانا فتقبل من أحدهما ولم يتقبل من الآخر قال لأقتلنك قال إنما يتقبل الله من المتقين
وَاتْلُ عَلَيْهِمْ نَبَأَ ابْنَيْ آدَمَ بِالْحَقِّ إِذْ قَرَّبَا قُرْبَانًا فَتُقُبِّلَ مِن أَحَدِهِمَا وَلَمْ يُتَقَبَّلْ مِنَ الْآخَرِ قَالَ لَأَقْتُلَنَّكَ قَالَ إِنَّمَا يَتَقَبَّلُ اللّهُ مِنَ الْمُتَّقِينَ |

| Yusuf Ali | Recite to them the truth of the story of the two sons of Adam. Behold! they each presented a sacrifice (to Allah): It was accepted from one, but not from the other. Said the latter: "Be sure I will slay thee." "Surely," said the former, "Allah doth accept of the sacrifice of those who are righteous.

| Tahir ul Qadri | (اے نبی مکرم!) آپ ان لوگوں کو آدم (علیہ السلام) کے دو بیٹوں (ہابیل و قابیل) کی خبر سنائیں جو بالکل سچی ہے۔ جب دونوں نے (اﷲ کے حضور ایک ایک) قربانی پیش کی سو ان میں سے ایک (ہابیل) کی قبول کر لی گئی اور دوسرے (قابیل) سے قبول نہ کی گئی تو اس (قابیل) نے (ہابیل سے حسداً و انتقاماً) کہا: میں تجھے ضرور قتل کر دوں گا، اس (ہابیل) نے (جواباً) کہا: بیشک اﷲ پرہیزگاروں سے ہی (نیاز) قبول فرماتا ہے، |

| لئن بسطت إلي يدك لتقتلني ما أنا بباسط يدي إليك لأقتلك إني أخاف الله رب العالمين
لَئِن بَسَطتَ إِلَيَّ يَدَكَ لِتَقْتُلَنِي مَا أَنَاْ بِبَاسِطٍ يَدِيَ إِلَيْكَ لِأَقْتُلَكَ إِنِّي أَخَافُ اللّهَ رَبَّ الْعَالَمِينَ |

| إني أريد أن تبوء بإثمي وإثمك فتكون من أصحاب النار وذلك جزاء الظالمين
إِنِّي أُرِيدُ أَن تَبُوءَ بِإِثْمِي وَإِثْمِكَ فَتَكُونَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّارِ وَذَلِكَ جَزَاءُ الظَّالِمِينَ |

فَطَوَّعَتْ لَهُ نَفْسُهُ قَتْلَ أَخِيهِ فَقَتَلَهُ فَأَصْبَحَ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ |
