خَلَقَ الْإِنسَانَ |

[55:5] | Alshshamsu waalqamaru bihusbanin
| الشمس والقمر بحسبان
الشَّمْسُ وَالْقَمَرُ بِحُسْبَانٍ |

| Yusuf Ali | The sun and the moon follow courses (exactly) computed;

| والنجم والشجر يسجدان
وَالنَّجْمُ وَالشَّجَرُ يَسْجُدَانِ |

| Yusuf Ali | And the herbs and the trees - both (alike) prostrate in adoration.

| والسماء رفعها ووضع الميزان
وَالسَّمَاءَ رَفَعَهَا وَوَضَعَ الْمِيزَانَ |

| Yusuf Ali | And the Firmament has He raised high, and He has set up the Balance (of Justice),

[55:8] | Alla tatghaw fee almeezani
| ألا تطغوا في الميزان
أَلَّا تَطْغَوْا فِي الْمِيزَانِ |

| Yusuf Ali | In order that ye may not transgress (due) balance.

[55:9] | Waaqeemoo alwazna bialqisti walatukhsiroo almeezana
| وأقيموا الوزن بالقسط ولا تخسروا الميزان
وَأَقِيمُوا الْوَزْنَ بِالْقِسْطِ وَلَا تُخْسِرُوا الْمِيزَانَ |

| Yusuf Ali | So establish weight with justice and fall not short in the balance.

| Words | |وأقيموا - And establish| الوزن - the weight| بالقسط - in justice| ولا - and (do) not| تخسروا - make deficient| الميزان - the balance.| |

[55:10] | Waal-arda wadaAAahalil-anami
| والأرض وضعها للأنام
وَالْأَرْضَ وَضَعَهَا لِلْأَنَامِ |

| Yusuf Ali | It is He Who has spread out the earth for (His) creatures:

| فيها فاكهة والنخل ذات الأكمام
فِيهَا فَاكِهَةٌ وَالنَّخْلُ ذَاتُ الْأَكْمَامِ |

| Yusuf Ali | Therein is fruit and date-palms, producing spathes (enclosing dates);

| والحب ذو العصف والريحان
وَالْحَبُّ ذُو الْعَصْفِ وَالرَّيْحَانُ |

| Yusuf Ali | Also corn, with (its) leaves and stalk for fodder, and sweet-smelling plants.

[55:14] | Khalaqa al-insana min salsalinkaalfakhkhari
| خلق الإنسان من صلصال كالفخار
خَلَقَ الْإِنسَانَ مِن صَلْصَالٍ كَالْفَخَّارِ |

| Yusuf Ali | He created man from sounding clay like unto pottery,

| Words | |خلق - He created| الإنسان - the man| من - from| صلصال - clay| كالفخار - like the pottery.| |

[55:15] | Wakhalaqa aljanna min marijinmin narin
| وخلق الجان من مارج من نار
وَخَلَقَ الْجَانَّ مِن مَّارِجٍ مِّن نَّارٍ |

| Yusuf Ali | And He created Jinns from fire free of smoke:

| فبأي آلاء ربكما تكذبان
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |

| رب المشرقين ورب المغربين
رَبُّ الْمَشْرِقَيْنِ وَرَبُّ الْمَغْرِبَيْنِ |

| Yusuf Ali | (He is) Lord of the two Easts and Lord of the two Wests:

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |

[55:19] | Maraja albahrayni yaltaqiyani
| مرج البحرين يلتقيان
مَرَجَ الْبَحْرَيْنِ يَلْتَقِيَانِ |

| Yusuf Ali | He has let free the two bodies of flowing water, meeting together:

| Words | |مرج - He released| البحرين - the two seas,| يلتقيان - meeting.| |

[55:20] | Baynahuma barzakhun la yabghiyani
| بينهما برزخ لا يبغيان
بَيْنَهُمَا بَرْزَخٌ لَّا يَبْغِيَانِ |

| Yusuf Ali | Between them is a Barrier which they do not transgress:

| فبأي آلاء ربكما تكذبان
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |

| Yusuf Ali | Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?

[55:22] | Yakhruju minhuma allu/luo waalmarjanu
| يخرج منهما اللؤلؤ والمرجان
يَخْرُجُ مِنْهُمَا اللُّؤْلُؤُ وَالْمَرْجَانُ |

| Yusuf Ali | Out of them come Pearls and Coral:

| Words | |يخرج - Come forth| منهما - from both of them| اللؤلؤ - the pearl| والمرجان - and the coral.| |
| Tahir ul Qadri | اُن دونوں (سمندروں) سے موتی (جس کی جھلک سبز ہوتی ہے) اور مَرجان (جِس کی رنگت سرخ ہوتی ہے) نکلتے ہیں، |

[55:24] | Walahu aljawari almunshaatufee albahri kaal-aAAlami
| وله الجوار المنشآت في البحر كالأعلام
وَلَهُ الْجَوَارِ الْمُنشَآتُ فِي الْبَحْرِ كَالْأَعْلَامِ |

| Yusuf Ali | And His are the Ships sailing smoothly through the seas, lofty as mountains:

| Words | |وله - And for Him| الجوار - (are) the ships| المنشآت - elevated| في - in| البحر - the sea| كالأعلام - like mountains.| |
| Tahir ul Qadri | اوربلند بادبان والے بڑے بڑے جہاز (بھی) اسی کے (اختیار میں) ہیں جو پہاڑوں کی طرح سمندر میں (کھڑے ہوتے یا چلتے) ہیں، |

| فبأي آلاء ربكما تكذبان
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |

| كل من عليها فان
كُلُّ مَنْ عَلَيْهَا فَانٍ |

| Yusuf Ali | All that is on earth will perish:

[55:27] | Wayabqa wajhu rabbika thooaljalali waal-ikrami
| ويبقى وجه ربك ذو الجلال والإكرام
وَيَبْقَى وَجْهُ رَبِّكَ ذُو الْجَلَالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ |

| Yusuf Ali | But will abide (for ever) the Face of thy Lord,- full of Majesty, Bounty and Honour.

| Words | |ويبقى - But will remain| وجه - (the) Face| ربك - (of) your Lord,| ذو - (the) Owner| الجلال - (of) Majesty| والإكرام - and Honor.| |

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |

| يسأله من في السماوات والأرض كل يوم هو في شأن
يَسْأَلُهُ مَن فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ هُوَ فِي شَأْنٍ |

| Yusuf Ali | Of Him seeks (its need) every creature in the heavens and on earth: every day in (new) Splendour doth He (shine)!

| Words | |يسأله - Asks Him| من - whoever| في - (is) in| السماوات - the heavens| والأرض - and the earth.| كل - Every| يوم - day| هو - He| في - (is) in| شأن - a matter.| |
