[21:1] | Iqtaraba lilnnasi hisabuhumwahum fee ghaflatin muAAridoona
|  اقترب للناس حسابهم وهم في غفلة معرضون
اقْتَرَبَ لِلنَّاسِ حِسَابُهُمْ وَهُمْ فِي غَفْلَةٍ مُّعْرِضُونَ |

| Yusuf Ali | Closer and closer to mankind comes their Reckoning: yet they heed not and they turn away.

| Words | |اقترب - (Has) approached| للناس - for [the] mankind| حسابهم - their account,| وهم - while they| في - (are) in| غفلة - heedlessness| معرضون - turning away.| |
| Tahir ul Qadri | لوگوں کے لئے ان کے حساب کا وقت قریب آپہنچا مگر وہ غفلت میں (پڑے طاعت سے) منہ پھیرے ہوئے ہیں، |

[21:2] | Ma ya/teehim min thikrin minrabbihim muhdathin illa istamaAAoohu wahumyalAAaboona
| ما يأتيهم من ذكر من ربهم محدث إلا استمعوه وهم يلعبون
مَا يَأْتِيهِم مِّن ذِكْرٍ مَّن رَّبِّهِم مُّحْدَثٍ إِلَّا اسْتَمَعُوهُ وَهُمْ يَلْعَبُونَ |

| Yusuf Ali | Never comes (aught) to them of a renewed Message from their Lord, but they listen to it as in jest,-

| Words | |ما - Not| يأتيهم - comes to them| من - of| ذكر - a Reminder| من - from| ربهم - their Lord,| محدث - anew| إلا - except| استمعوه - they listen to it| وهم - while they| يلعبون - (are at) play| |
| Tahir ul Qadri | ان کے پاس ان کے رب کی جانب سے جب بھی کوئی نئی نصیحت آتی ہے تو وہ اسے یوں (بے پرواہی سے) سنتے ہیں گویا وہ کھیل کود میں لگے ہوئے ہیں، |

[21:3] | Lahiyatan quloobuhum waasarroo alnnajwaallatheena thalamoo hal hatha illabasharun mithlukum afata/toona alssihra waantum tubsiroona
| لاهية قلوبهم وأسروا النجوى الذين ظلموا هل هذا إلا بشر مثلكم أفتأتون السحر وأنتم تبصرون
لَاهِيَةً قُلُوبُهُمْ وَأَسَرُّواْ النَّجْوَى الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ هَلْ هَذَا إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُكُمْ أَفَتَأْتُونَ السِّحْرَ وَأَنتُمْ تُبْصِرُونَ |

| Yusuf Ali | Their hearts toying as with trifles. The wrong-doers conceal their private counsels, (saying), "Is this (one) more than a man like yourselves? Will ye go to witchcraft with your eyes open?"

| Words | |لاهية - Distracted| قلوبهم - their hearts.| وأسروا - And they conceal| النجوى - the private conversation,| الذين - those who| ظلموا - [they] wronged,| هل - "Is| هذا - this| إلا - except| بشر - a human being| مثلكم - like you?| أفتأتون - So would you approach| السحر - the magic| وأنتم - while you| تبصرون - see (it)?"| |
| Tahir ul Qadri | ان کے دل غافل ہو چکے ہیں، اور (یہ) ظالم لوگ (آپ کے خلاف) آہستہ آہستہ سرگوشیاں کرتے ہیں کہ یہ تو محض تمہارے ہی جیسا ایک بشر ہے، کیا پھر (بھی) تم (اس کے) جادو کے پاس جاتے ہو حالانکہ تم دیکھ رہے ہو، |

[21:4] | Qala rabbee yaAAlamu alqawla fee alssama-iwaal-ardi wahuwa alssameeAAu alAAaleemu
| قال ربي يعلم القول في السماء والأرض وهو السميع العليم
قَالَ رَبِّي يَعْلَمُ الْقَوْلَ فِي السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ |

| Yusuf Ali | Say: "My Lord knoweth (every) word (spoken) in the heavens and on earth: He is the One that heareth and knoweth (all things)."

| Words | |قال - He said,| ربي - "My Lord| يعلم - knows| القول - the word| في - in| السماء - the heavens| والأرض - and the earth.| وهو - And He| السميع - (is) the All-Hearer,| العليم - the All-Knower."| |
| Tahir ul Qadri | (نبئ معظّم صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے) فرمایا کہ میرا رب آسمان اور زمین میں کہی جانے والی (ہر) بات کو جانتا ہے اور وہ خوب سننے والا خوب جاننے والا ہے، |

[21:5] | Bal qaloo adghathu ahlaminbali iftarahu bal huwa shaAAirun falya/tinabi-ayatin kama orsila al-awwaloona
| بل قالوا أضغاث أحلام بل افتراه بل هو شاعر فليأتنا بآية كما أرسل الأولون
بَلْ قَالُواْ أَضْغَاثُ أَحْلاَمٍ بَلِ افْتَرَاهُ بَلْ هُوَ شَاعِرٌ فَلْيَأْتِنَا بِآيَةٍ كَمَا أُرْسِلَ الْأَوَّلُونَ |

| Yusuf Ali | "Nay," they say, "(these are) medleys of dream! - Nay, He forged it! - Nay, He is (but) a poet! Let him then bring us a Sign like the ones that were sent to (Prophets) of old!"

| Words | |بل - Nay,| قالوا - they say,| أضغاث - "Muddled| أحلام - dreams;| بل - nay,| افتراه - he (has) invented it;| بل - nay,| هو - he| شاعر - (is) a poet.| فليأتنا - So let him bring us| بآية - a sign| كما - like what| أرسل - was sent| الأولون - (to) the former."| |
| Tahir ul Qadri | بلکہ (ظالموں نے یہاں تک) کہا کہ یہ (قرآن) پریشان خوابوں (میں دیکھی ہوئی باتیں) ہیں بلکہ اس (رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے اسے (خود ہی) گھڑ لیا ہے بلکہ (یہ کہ) وہ شاعر ہے، (اگر یہ سچا ہے) تو یہ (بھی) ہمارے پاس کوئی نشانی لے آئے جیسا کہ اگلے (رسول نشانیوں کے ساتھ) بھیجے گئے تھے، |

[21:6] | Ma amanat qablahum min qaryatinahlaknaha afahum yu/minoona
| ما آمنت قبلهم من قرية أهلكناها أفهم يؤمنون
مَا آمَنَتْ قَبْلَهُم مِّن قَرْيَةٍ أَهْلَكْنَاهَا أَفَهُمْ يُؤْمِنُونَ |

| Yusuf Ali | (As to those) before them, not one of the populations which We destroyed believed: will these believe?

| Words | |ما - Not| آمنت - believed| قبلهم - before them| من - any| قرية - town| أهلكناها - which We destroyed,| أفهم - so will they| يؤمنون - believe?| |
| Tahir ul Qadri | ان سے پہلے ہم نے جس بھی بستی کو ہلاک کیا وہ (انہی نشانیوں پر) ایمان نہیں لائی تھی، تو کیا یہ ایمان لے آئیں گے، |

[21:7] | Wama arsalna qablaka illarijalan noohee ilayhim fais-aloo ahla alththikriin kuntum la taAAlamoona
| وما أرسلنا قبلك إلا رجالا نوحي إليهم فاسألوا أهل الذكر إن كنتم لا تعلمون
وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَا قَبْلَكَ إِلاَّ رِجَالاً نُّوحِي إِلَيْهِمْ فَاسْأَلُواْ أَهْلَ الذِّكْرِ إِن كُنتُمْ لاَ تَعْلَمُونَ |

| Yusuf Ali | Before thee, also, the messengers We sent were but men, to whom We granted inspiration: If ye realise this not, ask of those who possess the Message.

| Tahir ul Qadri | اور (اے حبیبِ مکرّم!) ہم نے آپ سے پہلے (بھی) مَردوں کو ہی (رسول بنا کر) بھیجا تھا ہم ان کی طرف وحی بھیجا کرتے تھے (لوگو!) تم اہلِ ذکر سے پوچھ لیا کرو اگر تم (خود) نہ جانتے ہو، |

[21:8] | Wama jaAAalnahum jasadan laya/kuloona alttaAAama wama kanookhalideena
| وما جعلناهم جسدا لا يأكلون الطعام وما كانوا خالدين
وَمَا جَعَلْنَاهُمْ جَسَدًا لَّا يَأْكُلُونَ الطَّعَامَ وَمَا كَانُوا خَالِدِينَ |

| Yusuf Ali | Nor did We give them bodies that ate no food, nor were they exempt from death.
|
| Words | |وما - And not| جعلناهم - We made them| جسدا - bodies| لا - not| يأكلون - eating| الطعام - the food,| وما - and not| كانوا - they were| خالدين - immortals.| |
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ہم نے ان (انبیاء) کو ایسے جسم والا نہیں بنایا تھا کہ وہ کھانا نہ کھاتے ہوں اور نہ ہی وہ (دنیا میں بہ حیاتِ ظاہری) ہمیشہ رہنے والے تھے، |

[21:9] | Thumma sadaqnahumu alwaAAdafaanjaynahum waman nashao waahlaknaalmusrifeena
| ثم صدقناهم الوعد فأنجيناهم ومن نشاء وأهلكنا المسرفين
ثُمَّ صَدَقْنَاهُمُ الْوَعْدَ فَأَنْجَيْنَاهُمْ وَمَن نَّشَاءُ وَأَهْلَكْنَا الْمُسْرِفِينَ |

| Yusuf Ali | In the end We fulfilled to them Our Promise, and We saved them and those whom We pleased, but We destroyed those who transgressed beyond bounds.

| Words | |ثم - Then| صدقناهم - We fulfilled (for) them| الوعد - the promise,| فأنجيناهم - and We saved them| ومن - and whom| نشاء - We willed,| وأهلكنا - and We destroyed| المسرفين - the transgressors.| |
| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر ہم نے انہیں اپنا وعدہ سچا کر دکھایا پھر ہم نے انہیں اور جسے ہم نے چاہا نجات بخشی اور ہم نے حد سے بڑھ جانے والوں کو ہلاک کر ڈالا، |

[21:10] | Laqad anzalna ilaykum kitabanfeehi thikrukum afala taAAqiloona
| لقد أنزلنا إليكم كتابا فيه ذكركم أفلا تعقلون
لَقَدْ أَنزَلْنَا إِلَيْكُمْ كِتَابًا فِيهِ ذِكْرُكُمْ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ |

| Yusuf Ali | We have revealed for you (O men!) a book in which is a Message for you: will ye not then understand?
|
| Words | |لقد - Indeed,| أنزلنا - We (have) sent down| إليكم - to you| كتابا - a Book| فيه - in it| ذكركم - (is) your mention.| أفلا - Then will not| تعقلون - you use reason?| |
| Tahir ul Qadri | بیشک ہم نے تمہاری طرف ایسی کتاب نازل فرمائی ہے جس میں تمہاری نصیحت (کا سامان) ہے، کیا تم عقل نہیں رکھتے، |

[21:11] | Wakam qasamna min qaryatin kanatthalimatan waansha/na baAAdahaqawman akhareena
| وكم قصمنا من قرية كانت ظالمة وأنشأنا بعدها قوما آخرين
وَكَمْ قَصَمْنَا مِن قَرْيَةٍ كَانَتْ ظَالِمَةً وَأَنشَأْنَا بَعْدَهَا قَوْمًا آخَرِينَ |

| Yusuf Ali | How many were the populations We utterly destroyed because of their iniquities, setting up in their places other peoples?
|
| Words | |وكم - And how many| قصمنا - We (have) shattered| من - of| قرية - a town| كانت - (that) was| ظالمة - unjust,| وأنشأنا - and We produced| بعدها - after them| قوما - another people.| آخرين - another people.| |
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ہم نے کتنی ہی بستیوں کو تباہ و برباد کر ڈالا جو ظالم تھیں اور ان کے بعد ہم نے اور قوموں کو پیدا فرما دیا، |

[21:12] | Falamma ahassoo ba/sanaitha hum minha yarkudoona
| فلما أحسوا بأسنا إذا هم منها يركضون
فَلَمَّا أَحَسُّوا بَأْسَنَا إِذَا هُم مِّنْهَا يَرْكُضُونَ |

| Yusuf Ali | Yet, when they felt Our Punishment (coming), behold, they (tried to) flee from it.
|
| Words | |فلما - Then when| أحسوا - they perceived| بأسنا - Our torment,| إذا - behold,| هم - they| منها - from it| يركضون - were fleeing.| |
| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر جب انہوں نے ہمارے عذاب (کی آمد) کو محسوس کیا تو وہ وہاں سے تیزی کے ساتھ بھاگنے لگے، |

[21:13] | La tarkudoo wairjiAAooila ma otriftum feehi wamasakinikumlaAAallakum tus-aloona
| لا تركضوا وارجعوا إلى ما أترفتم فيه ومساكنكم لعلكم تسألون
لَا تَرْكُضُوا وَارْجِعُوا إِلَى مَا أُتْرِفْتُمْ فِيهِ وَمَسَاكِنِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُسْأَلُونَ |

| Yusuf Ali | Flee not, but return to the good things of this life which were given you, and to your homes in order that ye may be called to account.
|
| Words | |لا - Flee not,| تركضوا - Flee not,| وارجعوا - but return| إلى - to| ما - what| أترفتم - you were given luxury| فيه - in it| ومساكنكم - and to your homes,| لعلكم - so that you may| تسألون - be questioned.| |
| Tahir ul Qadri | (ان سے کہا گیا:) تم جلدی مت بھاگو اور اسی جگہ واپس لوٹ جاؤ جس میں تمہیں آسائشیں دی گئی تھیں اور اپنی (پرتعیش) رہائش گاہوں کی طرف (پلٹ جاؤ) شاید تم سے باز پرس کی جائے، |

[21:14] | Qaloo ya waylana innakunna thalimeena
| قالوا يا ويلنا إنا كنا ظالمين
قَالُواْ يَا وَيْلَنَا إِنَّا كُنَّا ظَالِمِينَ |

| Yusuf Ali | They said: "Ah! woe to us! We were indeed wrong-doers!"
|
| Words | |قالوا - They said,| يا - O| ويلنا - "O woe to us!| إنا - Indeed, [we]| كنا - we were| ظالمين - wrongdoers."| |
| Tahir ul Qadri | وہ کہنے لگے: ہائے شومئ قسمت! بیشک ہم ظالم تھے، |

[21:15] | Fama zalat tilka daAAwahumhatta jaAAalnahum haseedan khamideena
| فما زالت تلك دعواهم حتى جعلناهم حصيدا خامدين
فَمَا زَالَت تِّلْكَ دَعْوَاهُمْ حَتَّى جَعَلْنَاهُمْ حَصِيدًا خَامِدِينَ |

| Yusuf Ali | And that cry of theirs ceased not, till We made them as a field that is mown, as ashes silent and quenched.

| Words | |فما - Then not| زالت - ceased| تلك - [this]| دعواهم - their cry| حتى - until| جعلناهم - We made them| حصيدا - reaped| خامدين - extinct.| |
| Tahir ul Qadri | سو ہمیشہ ان کی یہی فریاد رہی یہاں تک کہ ہم نے ان کو کٹی ہوئی کھیتی (اور) بجھی ہوئی آگ (کے ڈھیر) کی طرح بنا دیا، |

[21:16] | Wama khalaqna alssamaawaal-arda wama baynahuma laAAibeena
| وما خلقنا السماء والأرض وما بينهما لاعبين
وَمَا خَلَقْنَا السَّمَاءَ وَالْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا لَاعِبِينَ |

| Yusuf Ali | Not for (idle) sport did We create the heavens and the earth and all that is between!
|
| Words | |وما - And not| خلقنا - We created| السماء - the heavens| والأرض - and the earth| وما - and what| بينهما - (is) between them| لاعبين - (for) playing.| |
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ہم نے آسمان اور زمین کو اور جو کچھ ان کے درمیان ہے کھیل تماشے کے طور پر (بے کار) نہیں بنایا، |

[21:17] | Law aradna an nattakhithalahwan laittakhathnahu min ladunna inkunna faAAileena
| لو أردنا أن نتخذ لهوا لاتخذناه من لدنا إن كنا فاعلين
لَوْ أَرَدْنَا أَن نَّتَّخِذَ لَهْوًا لَّاتَّخَذْنَاهُ مِن لَّدُنَّا إِن كُنَّا فَاعِلِينَ |

| Yusuf Ali | If it had been Our wish to take (just) a pastime, We should surely have taken it from the things nearest to Us, if We would do (such a thing)!

| Words | |لو - If| أردنا - We intended| أن - that| نتخذ - We take| لهوا - a pastime,| لاتخذناه - surely We (could have) taken it| من - from| لدنا - Us,| إن - if| كنا - We were| فاعلين - doers.| |
| Tahir ul Qadri | اگر ہم کوئی کھیل تماشا اختیار کرنا چاہتے تو اسے اپنی ہی طرف سے اختیار کر لیتے اگر ہم (ایسا) کرنے والے ہوتے، |

[21:18] | Bal naqthifu bialhaqqiAAala albatili fayadmaghuhu fa-itha huwa zahiqunwalakumu alwaylu mimma tasifoona
| بل نقذف بالحق على الباطل فيدمغه فإذا هو زاهق ولكم الويل مما تصفون
بَلْ نَقْذِفُ بِالْحَقِّ عَلَى الْبَاطِلِ فَيَدْمَغُهُ فَإِذَا هُوَ زَاهِقٌ وَلَكُمُ الْوَيْلُ مِمَّا تَصِفُونَ |

| Yusuf Ali | Nay, We hurl the Truth against falsehood, and it knocks out its brain, and behold, falsehood doth perish! Ah! woe be to you for the (false) things ye ascribe (to Us).

| Words | |بل - Nay,| نقذف - We hurl| بالحق - the truth| على - against| الباطل - [the] falsehood,| فيدمغه - and it breaks its head,| فإذا - behold,| هو - it (is)| زاهق - vanishing.| ولكم - And for you| الويل - (is) destruction| مما - for what| تصفون - you ascribe.| |
| Tahir ul Qadri | بلکہ ہم حق سے باطل پر پوری قوت کے ساتھ چوٹ لگاتے ہیں سو حق اسے کچل دیتا ہے پس وہ (باطل) ہلاک ہو جاتا ہے، اور تمہارے لئے ان باتوں کے باعث تباہی ہے جو تم بیان کرتے ہو، |

[21:19] | Walahu man fee alssamawatiwaal-ardi waman AAindahu la yastakbiroonaAAan AAibadatihi wala yastahsiroona
| وله من في السماوات والأرض ومن عنده لا يستكبرون عن عبادته ولا يستحسرون
وَلَهُ مَن فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَنْ عِندَهُ لَا يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ عَنْ عِبَادَتِهِ وَلَا يَسْتَحْسِرُونَ |

| Yusuf Ali | To Him belong all (creatures) in the heavens and on earth: Even those who are in His (very) Presence are not too proud to serve Him, nor are they (ever) weary (of His service):

| Words | |وله - And to Him (belongs)| من - whoever| في - (is) in| السماوات - the heavens| والأرض - and the earth.| ومن - And (those) who| عنده - (are) near Him| لا - not| يستكبرون - they are arrogant| عن - to| عبادته - worship Him| ولا - and not| يستحسرون - they tire.| |
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور جو کوئی آسمانوں اور زمین میں ہے اسی کا (بندہ و مملوک) ہے، اور جو (فرشتے) اس کی قربت میں (رہتے) ہیں وہ نہ تو اس کی عبادت سے تکبّر کرتے ہیں اور نہ وہ (اس کی طاعت بجا لاتے ہوئے) تھکتے ہیں، |

[21:20] | Yusabbihoona allayla waalnnaharala yafturoona
| يسبحون الليل والنهار لا يفترون
يُسَبِّحُونَ اللَّيْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ لَا يَفْتُرُونَ |

| Yusuf Ali | They celebrate His praises night and day, nor do they ever flag or intermit.
|
| Words | |يسبحون - They glorify (Him)| الليل - [the] night| والنهار - and [the] day,| لا - not| يفترون - they slacken.| |
| Tahir ul Qadri | وہ رات دن (اس کی) تسبیح کرتے رہتے ہیں اور معمولی سا وقفہ بھی نہیں کرتے، |

[21:21] | Ami ittakhathoo alihatan minaal-ardi hum yunshiroona
| أم اتخذوا آلهة من الأرض هم ينشرون
أَمِ اتَّخَذُوا آلِهَةً مِّنَ الْأَرْضِ هُمْ يُنشِرُونَ |

| Yusuf Ali | Or have they taken (for worship) gods from the earth who can raise (the dead)?

| Words | |أم - Or| اتخذوا - (have) they taken| آلهة - gods| من - from| الأرض - the earth,| هم - they| ينشرون - raise (the dead)?| |
| Tahir ul Qadri | کیا ان (کافروں) نے زمین (کی چیزوں) میں سے ایسے معبود بنا لئے ہیں جو (مُردوں کو) زندہ کر کے اٹھا سکتے ہیں، |

[21:22] | Law kana feehima alihatunilla Allahu lafasadata fasubhana Allahirabbi alAAarshi AAamma yasifoona
| لو كان فيهما آلهة إلا الله لفسدتا فسبحان الله رب العرش عما يصفون
لَوْ كَانَ فِيهِمَا آلِهَةٌ إِلَّا اللَّهُ لَفَسَدَتَا فَسُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَرْشِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ |

| Yusuf Ali | If there were, in the heavens and the earth, other gods besides Allah, there would have been confusion in both! but glory to Allah, the Lord of the Throne: (High is He) above what they attribute to Him!

| Words | |لو - If| كان - (there) were| فيهما - in both of them| آلهة - gods| إلا - besides| الله - Allah,| لفسدتا - surely they (would) have been ruined.| فسبحان - So glorified| الله - (is) Allah,| رب - Lord| العرش - (of) the Throne| عما - (above) what| يصفون - they attribute.| |
| Tahir ul Qadri | اگر ان دونوں (زمین و آسمان) میں اﷲ کے سوا اور (بھی) معبود ہوتے تو یہ دونوں تباہ ہو جاتے، پس اﷲ جو عرش کا مالک ہے ان (باتوں) سے پاک ہے جو یہ (مشرک) بیان کرتے ہیں، |

[21:23] | La yus-alu AAamma yafAAaluwahum yus-aloona
| لا يسأل عما يفعل وهم يسألون
لَا يُسْأَلُ عَمَّا يَفْعَلُ وَهُمْ يُسْأَلُونَ |

| Yusuf Ali | He cannot be questioned for His acts, but they will be questioned (for theirs).
|
| Words | |لا - Not| يسأل - He (can) be questioned| عما - about what| يفعل - He does,| وهم - but they| يسألون - will be questioned.| |
| Tahir ul Qadri | اس سے اس کی بازپرس نہیں کی جا سکتی وہ جو کچھ بھی کرتا ہے، اور ان سے (ہر کام کی) بازپرس کی جائے گی، |

[21:24] | Ami ittakhathoo min doonihi alihatanqul hatoo burhanakum hatha thikru manmaAAiya wathikru man qablee bal aktharuhum layaAAlamoona alhaqqa fahum muAAridoona
| أم اتخذوا من دونه آلهة قل هاتوا برهانكم هذا ذكر من معي وذكر من قبلي بل أكثرهم لا يعلمون الحق فهم معرضون
أَمِ اتَّخَذُوا مِن دُونِهِ آلِهَةً قُلْ هَاتُوا بُرْهَانَكُمْ هَذَا ذِكْرُ مَن مَّعِيَ وَذِكْرُ مَن قَبْلِي بَلْ أَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ الْحَقَّ فَهُم مُّعْرِضُونَ |

| Yusuf Ali | Or have they taken for worship (other) gods besides him? Say, "Bring your convincing proof: this is the Message of those with me and the Message of those before me." But most of them know not the Truth, and so turn away.

| Tahir ul Qadri | کیا ان (کافروں) نے اسے چھوڑ کر اور معبود بنا لئے ہیں؟ فرما دیجئے: اپنی دلیل لاؤ، یہ (قرآن) ان لوگوں کا ذکر ہے جو میرے ساتھ ہیں اور ان کا (بھی) ذکر ہے جو مجھ سے پہلے تھے بلکہ ان میں سے اکثر لوگ حق کو نہیں جانتے اِس لئے وہ اِس سے رُوگردانی کئے ہوئے ہیں، |

[21:25] | Wama arsalna min qablika minrasoolin illa noohee ilayhi annahu la ilahailla ana faoAAbudooni
| وما أرسلنا من قبلك من رسول إلا نوحي إليه أنه لا إله إلا أنا فاعبدون
وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَا مِن قَبْلِكَ مِن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا نُوحِي إِلَيْهِ أَنَّهُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنَا فَاعْبُدُونِ |

| Yusuf Ali | Not a messenger did We send before thee without this inspiration sent by Us to him: that there is no god but I; therefore worship and serve Me.

[21:26] | Waqaloo ittakhatha alrrahmanuwaladan subhanahu bal AAibadun mukramoona
| وقالوا اتخذ الرحمن ولدا سبحانه بل عباد مكرمون
وَقَالُوا اتَّخَذَ الرَّحْمَنُ وَلَدًا سُبْحَانَهُ بَلْ عِبَادٌ مُّكْرَمُونَ |

| Yusuf Ali | And they say: "(Allah) Most Gracious has begotten offspring." Glory to Him! they are (but) servants raised to honour.

| Words | |وقالوا - And they say,| اتخذ - "Has taken| الرحمن - the Most Gracious| ولدا - a son."| سبحانه - Glorified is He!| بل - Nay,| عباد - (they are) slaves| مكرمون - honored.| |
| Tahir ul Qadri | یہ لوگ کہتے ہیں کہ (خدائے) رحمان نے (فرشتوں کو اپنی) اولاد بنا رکھا ہے وہ پاک ہے، بلکہ (جن فرشتوں کو یہ اُس کی اولاد سمجھتے ہیں) وہ (اﷲ کے) معزز بندے ہیں، |

[21:27] | La yasbiqoonahu bialqawliwahum bi-amrihi yaAAmaloona
| لا يسبقونه بالقول وهم بأمره يعملون
لَا يَسْبِقُونَهُ بِالْقَوْلِ وَهُم بِأَمْرِهِ يَعْمَلُونَ |

| Yusuf Ali | They speak not before He speaks, and they act (in all things) by His Command.

[21:28] | YaAAlamu ma bayna aydeehim wamakhalfahum wala yashfaAAoona illa limani irtadawahum min khashyatihi mushfiqoona
| يعلم ما بين أيديهم وما خلفهم ولا يشفعون إلا لمن ارتضى وهم من خشيته مشفقون
يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ وَلَا يَشْفَعُونَ إِلَّا لِمَنِ ارْتَضَى وَهُم مِّنْ خَشْيَتِهِ مُشْفِقُونَ |

| Yusuf Ali | He knows what is before them, and what is behind them, and they offer no intercession except for those who are acceptable, and they stand in awe and reverence of His (Glory).

| Tahir ul Qadri | وہ (اﷲ) ان چیزوں کو جانتا ہے جو ان کے سامنے ہیں اور جو ان کے پیچھے ہیں اور وہ (اس کے حضور) سفارش بھی نہیں کرتے مگر اس کے لئے (کرتے ہیں) جس سے وہ خوش ہوگیا ہو اور وہ اس کی ہیبت و جلال سے خائف رہتے ہیں، |

[21:29] | Waman yaqul minhum innee ilahun mindoonihi fathalika najzeehi jahannama kathalikanajzee alththalimeena
| ومن يقل منهم إني إله من دونه فذلك نجزيه جهنم كذلك نجزي الظالمين
وَمَن يَقُلْ مِنْهُمْ إِنِّي إِلَهٌ مِّن دُونِهِ فَذَلِكَ نَجْزِيهِ جَهَنَّمَ كَذَلِكَ نَجْزِي الظَّالِمِينَ |

| Yusuf Ali | If any of them should say, "I am a god besides Him", such a one We should reward with Hell: thus do We reward those who do wrong.

| Words | |ومن - And whoever| يقل - says| منهم - of them,| إني - "Indeed, I am| إله - a god| من - besides Him."| دونه - besides Him."| فذلك - Then that| نجزيه - We will recompense| جهنم - (with) Hell.| كذلك - Thus| نجزي - We recompense| الظالمين - the wrongdoers.| |
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ان میں سے کون ہے جو کہہ دے کہ میں اس (اﷲ) کے سوا معبود ہوں سو ہم اسی کو دوزخ کی سزا دیں گے، اسی طرح ہم ظالموں کو سزا دیا کرتے ہیں، |

[21:30] | Awa lam yara allatheenakafaroo anna alssamawati waal-ardakanata ratqan fafataqnahuma wajaAAalnamina alma-i kulla shay-in hayyin afalayu/minoona
| أولم ير الذين كفروا أن السماوات والأرض كانتا رتقا ففتقناهما وجعلنا من الماء كل شيء حي أفلا يؤمنون
أَوَلَمْ يَرَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا أَنَّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ كَانَتَا رَتْقًا فَفَتَقْنَاهُمَا وَجَعَلْنَا مِنَ الْمَاءِ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ حَيٍّ أَفَلَا يُؤْمِنُونَ |

| Yusuf Ali | Do not the Unbelievers see that the heavens and the earth were joined together (as one unit of creation), before we clove them asunder? We made from water every living thing. Will they not then believe?

| Tahir ul Qadri | اور کیا کافر لوگوں نے نہیں دیکھا کہ جملہ آسمانی کائنات اور زمین (سب) ایک اکائی کی شکل میں جڑے ہوئے تھے پس ہم نے ان کو پھاڑ کر جدا کر دیا، اور ہم نے (زمین پر) پیکرِ حیات (کی زندگی) کی نمود پانی سے کی، تو کیا وہ (قرآن کے بیان کردہ اِن حقائق سے آگاہ ہو کر بھی) ایمان نہیں لاتے، |
