كِتَابٌ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ فَلاَ يَكُن فِي صَدْرِكَ حَرَجٌ مِّنْهُ لِتُنذِرَ بِهِ وَذِكْرَى لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ |

| Yusuf Ali | A Book revealed unto thee,- So let thy heart be oppressed no more by any difficulty on that account,- that with it thou mightest warn (the erring) and teach the Believers).

| اتبعوا ما أنزل إليكم من ربكم ولا تتبعوا من دونه أولياء قليلا ما تذكرون
اتَّبِعُواْ مَا أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكُم مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ وَلاَ تَتَّبِعُواْ مِن دُونِهِ أَوْلِيَاءَ قَلِيلاً مَّا تَذَكَّرُونَ |

| Yusuf Ali | Follow (O men!) the revelation given unto you from your Lord, and follow not, as friends or protectors, other than Him. Little it is ye remember of admonition.

[7:4] | Wakam min qaryatin ahlaknahafajaaha ba/suna bayatan aw hum qa-iloona
| وكم من قرية أهلكناها فجاءها بأسنا بياتا أو هم قائلون
وَكَم مِّن قَرْيَةٍ أَهْلَكْنَاهَا فَجَاءَهَا بَأْسُنَا بَيَاتًا أَوْ هُمْ قَآئِلُونَ |

| Yusuf Ali | How many towns have We destroyed (for their sins)? Our punishment took them on a sudden by night or while they slept for their afternoon rest.

[7:5] | Fama kana daAAwahum ithjaahum ba/suna illa an qaloo innakunna thalimeena
| فما كان دعواهم إذ جاءهم بأسنا إلا أن قالوا إنا كنا ظالمين
فَمَا كَانَ دَعْوَاهُمْ إِذْ جَاءَهُمْ بَأْسُنَا إِلاَّ أَن قَالُواْ إِنَّا كُنَّا ظَالِمِينَ |

| Yusuf Ali | When (thus) Our punishment took them, no cry did they utter but this: "Indeed we did wrong."

| فلنسألن الذين أرسل إليهم ولنسألن المرسلين
فَلَنَسْأَلَنَّ الَّذِينَ أُرْسِلَ إِلَيْهِمْ وَلَنَسْأَلَنَّ الْمُرْسَلِينَ |

| Yusuf Ali | Then shall we question those to whom Our message was sent and those by whom We sent it.
|
| Words | |فلنسألن - Then surely We will question| الذين - those (to) whom| أرسل - were sent| إليهم - to them (Messengers),| ولنسألن - and surely We will question| المرسلين - the Messengers.| |
| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر ہم ان لوگوں سے ضرور پرسش کریں گے جن کی طرف رسول بھیجے گئے اور ہم یقیناً رسولوں سے بھی (ان کی دعوت و تبلیغ کے ردِّ عمل کی نسبت) دریافت کریں گے، |

[7:7] | Falanaqussanna AAalayhim biAAilmin wamakunna gha-ibeena
| فلنقصن عليهم بعلم وما كنا غائبين
فَلَنَقُصَّنَّ عَلَيْهِم بِعِلْمٍ وَمَا كُنَّا غَآئِبِينَ |

| Yusuf Ali | And verily, We shall recount their whole story with knowledge, for We were never absent (at any time or place).

[7:8] | Waalwaznu yawma-ithini alhaqqufaman thaqulat mawazeenuhu faola-ika humu almuflihoona
| والوزن يومئذ الحق فمن ثقلت موازينه فأولئك هم المفلحون
وَالْوَزْنُ يَوْمَئِذٍ الْحَقُّ فَمَن ثَقُلَتْ مَوَازِينُهُ فَأُوْلَـئِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ |

| Yusuf Ali | The balance that day will be true (to nicety): those whose scale (of good) will be heavy, will prosper:

| Words | |والوزن - And the weighing| يومئذ - that day| الحق - (will be) the truth.| فمن - So whose -| ثقلت - (will be) heavy| موازينه - his scales,| فأولئك - then those| هم - [they]| المفلحون - (will be) the successful ones.| |
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور اس دن (اعمال کا) تولا جانا حق ہے، سو جن کے (نیکیوں کے) پلڑے بھاری ہوں گے تو وہی لوگ کامیاب ہوں گے، |

[7:9] | Waman khaffat mawazeenuhu faola-ikaallatheena khasiroo anfusahum bima kanoo bi-ayatinayathlimoona
| ومن خفت موازينه فأولئك الذين خسروا أنفسهم بما كانوا بآياتنا يظلمون
وَمَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَازِينُهُ فَأُوْلَـئِكَ الَّذِينَ خَسِرُواْ أَنفُسَهُم بِمَا كَانُواْ بِآيَاتِنَا يَظْلِمُونَ |

| Yusuf Ali | Those whose scale will be light, will be their souls in perdition, for that they wrongfully treated Our signs.
|
| Words | |ومن - And (for) those| خفت - (will be) light| موازينه - his scales,| فأولئك - so those| الذين - (will be) the ones who| خسروا - lost,| أنفسهم - themselves| بما - because| كانوا - they were| بآياتنا - to Our Verses| يظلمون - (doing) injustice.| |
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور جن کے (نیکیوں کے) پلڑے ہلکے ہوں گے تو یہی وہ لوگ ہیں جنہوں نے اپنی جانوں کو نقصان پہنچایا، اس وجہ سے کہ وہ ہماری آیتوں کے ساتھ ظلم کرتے تھے، |

[7:10] | Walaqad makkannakum fee al-ardiwajaAAalna lakum feeha maAAayisha qaleelan matashkuroona
| ولقد مكناكم في الأرض وجعلنا لكم فيها معايش قليلا ما تشكرون
وَلَقَدْ مَكَّنَّاكُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَجَعَلْنَا لَكُمْ فِيهَا مَعَايِشَ قَلِيلاً مَّا تَشْكُرُونَ |

| Yusuf Ali | It is We Who have placed you with authority on earth, and provided you therein with means for the fulfilment of your life: small are the thanks that ye give!

| Words | |ولقد - And certainly| مكناكم - We established you| في - in| الأرض - the earth| وجعلنا - and We made| لكم - for you| فيها - in it| معايش - livelihood.| قليلا - Little| ما - (is) what| تشكرون - you (are) grateful.| |
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور بیشک ہم نے تم کو زمین میں تمکّن و تصرّف عطا کیا اور ہم نے اس میں تمہارے لئے اسبابِ معیشت پیدا کئے، تم بہت ہی کم شکر بجا لاتے ہو، |

[7:11] | Walaqad khalaqnakum thumma sawwarnakumthumma qulna lilmala-ikati osjudoo li-adamafasajadoo illa ibleesa lam yakun mina alssajideena
| ولقد خلقناكم ثم صورناكم ثم قلنا للملائكة اسجدوا لآدم فسجدوا إلا إبليس لم يكن من الساجدين
وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَاكُمْ ثُمَّ صَوَّرْنَاكُمْ ثُمَّ قُلْنَا لِلْمَلَآئِكَةِ اسْجُدُواْ لِآدَمَ فَسَجَدُواْ إِلاَّ إِبْلِيسَ لَمْ يَكُن مِّنَ السَّاجِدِينَ |

| Yusuf Ali | It is We Who created you and gave you shape; then We bade the angels prostrate to Adam, and they prostrate; not so Iblis; He refused to be of those who prostrate.

| Tahir ul Qadri | اور بیشک ہم نے تمہیں (یعنی تمہاری اصل کو) پیدا کیا پھر تمہاری صورت گری کی (یعنی تمہاری زندگی کی کیمیائی اور حیاتیاتی ابتداء و ارتقاء کے مراحل کو آدم (علیہ السلام) کے وجود کی تشکیل تک مکمل کیا)، پھر ہم نے فرشتوں سے فرمایا کہ آدم (علیہ السلام) کو سجدہ کرو تو سب نے سجدہ کیا سوائے ابلیس کے۔ وہ سجدہ کرنے والوں میں سے نہ ہوا، |

[7:12] | Qala ma manaAAaka allatasjuda ith amartuka qala ana khayrun minhukhalaqtanee min narin wakhalaqtahu min teenin
| قال ما منعك ألا تسجد إذ أمرتك قال أنا خير منه خلقتني من نار وخلقته من طين
قَالَ مَا مَنَعَكَ أَلاَّ تَسْجُدَ إِذْ أَمَرْتُكَ قَالَ أَنَاْ خَيْرٌ مِّنْهُ خَلَقْتَنِي مِن نَّارٍ وَخَلَقْتَهُ مِن طِينٍ |

| Yusuf Ali | (Allah) said: "What prevented thee from prostrating when I commanded thee?" He said: "I am better than he: Thou didst create me from fire, and him from clay."

| Words | |قال - (Allah) said,| ما - "What| منعك - prevented you| ألا - that not| تسجد - you prostrate| إذ - when| أمرتك - I commanded you?"| قال - (Shaitaan) said,| أنا - "I am| خير - better| منه - than him.| خلقتني - You created me| من - from| نار - fire| وخلقته - and You created him| من - from| طين - clay."| |
| Tahir ul Qadri | ارشاد ہوا: (اے ابلیس!) تجھے کس (بات) نے روکا تھا کہ تو نے سجدہ نہ کیا جبکہ میں نے تجھے حکم دیا تھا، اس نے کہا: میں اس سے بہتر ہوں، تو نے مجھے آگ سے پیدا کیا ہے اور اس کو تو نے مٹی سے بنایا ہے، |

[7:13] | Qala faihbit minhafama yakoonu laka an tatakabbara feeha faokhrujinnaka mina alssaghireena
| قال فاهبط منها فما يكون لك أن تتكبر فيها فاخرج إنك من الصاغرين
قَالَ فَاهْبِطْ مِنْهَا فَمَا يَكُونُ لَكَ أَن تَتَكَبَّرَ فِيهَا فَاخْرُجْ إِنَّكَ مِنَ الصَّاغِرِينَ |

| Yusuf Ali | (Allah) said: "Get thee down from this: it is not for thee to be arrogant here: get out, for thou art of the meanest (of creatures)."

| Words | |قال - (Allah) said,| فاهبط - "Then go down| منها - from it,| فما - for not| يكون - it is| لك - for you| أن - that| تتكبر - you be arrogant| فيها - in it.| فاخرج - So get out;| إنك - indeed, you| من - (are) of| الصاغرين - the disgraced ones."| |
| Tahir ul Qadri | ارشاد ہوا: پس تو یہاں سے اتر جا تجھے کوئی حق نہیں پہنچتا کہ تو یہاں تکّبر کرے پس (میری بارگاہ سے) نکل جا بیشک تو ذلیل و خوار لوگوں میں سے ہے، |

[7:14] | Qala anthirnee ilayawmi yubAAathoona
| قال أنظرني إلى يوم يبعثون
قَالَ أَنظِرْنِي إِلَى يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ |

| Yusuf Ali | He said: "Give me respite till the day they are raised up."
|
| Words | |قال - (Shaitaan) said,| أنظرني - "Give me respite| إلى - till| يوم - (the) Day| يبعثون - they are raised up."| |
| Tahir ul Qadri | اس نے کہا: مجھے اس دن تک (زندگی کی) مہلت دے جس دن لوگ (قبروں سے) اٹھائے جائیں گے، |

| قال إنك من المنظرين
قَالَ إِنَّكَ مِنَ المُنظَرِينَ |

| قال فبما أغويتني لأقعدن لهم صراطك المستقيم
قَالَ فَبِمَا أَغْوَيْتَنِي لَأَقْعُدَنَّ لَهُمْ صِرَاطَكَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ |

| Yusuf Ali | He said: "Because thou hast thrown me out of the way, lo! I will lie in wait for them on thy straight way:

| Words | |قال - (Shaitaan) said,| فبما - "Because| أغويتني - You have sent me astray,| لأقعدن - surely I will sit| لهم - for them| صراطك - (on) Your path,| المستقيم - the straight.| |
| Tahir ul Qadri | اس (ابلیس) نے کہا: پس اس وجہ سے کہ تو نے مجھے گمراہ کیا ہے (مجھے قَسم ہے کہ) میں (بھی) ان (افرادِ بنی آدم کو گمراہ کرنے) کے لئے تیری سیدھی راہ پر ضرور بیٹھوں گا (تآنکہ انہیں راہِ حق سے ہٹا دوں)، |

[7:17] | Thumma laatiyannahum min bayniaydeehim wamin khalfihim waAAan aymanihim waAAan shama-ilihimwala tajidu aktharahum shakireena
| ثم لآتينهم من بين أيديهم ومن خلفهم وعن أيمانهم وعن شمائلهم ولا تجد أكثرهم شاكرين
ثُمَّ لَآتِيَنَّهُم مِّن بَيْنِ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ وَعَنْ أَيْمَانِهِمْ وَعَن شَمَآئِلِهِمْ وَلاَ تَجِدُ أَكْثَرَهُمْ شَاكِرِينَ |

| Yusuf Ali | "Then will I assault them from before them and behind them, from their right and their left: Nor wilt thou find, in most of them, gratitude (for thy mercies)."

[7:18] | Qala okhruj minha mathoomanmadhooran laman tabiAAaka minhum laamlaanna jahannamaminkum ajmaAAeena
| قال اخرج منها مذءوما مدحورا لمن تبعك منهم لأملأن جهنم منكم أجمعين
قَالَ اخْرُجْ مِنْهَا مَذْؤُومًا مَّدْحُورًا لَّمَن تَبِعَكَ مِنْهُمْ لَأَمْلأَنَّ جَهَنَّمَ مِنكُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ |

| Yusuf Ali | (Allah) said: "Get out from this, disgraced and expelled. If any of them follow thee,- Hell will I fill with you all.
|
| Words | |قال - (Allah) said,| اخرج - "Get out| منها - of it| مذءوما - disgraced| مدحورا - and expelled.| لمن - Certainly, whoever| تبعك - follows you| منهم - among them,| لأملأن - surely, I will fill| جهنم - Hell| منكم - with you| أجمعين - all.| |
| Tahir ul Qadri | ارشاد باری ہوا: (اے ابلیس!) تو یہاں سے ذلیل و مردود ہو کر نکل جا، ان میں سے جو کوئی تیری پیروی کرے گا تو میں ضرور تم سب سے دوزخ بھر دوں گا، |

[7:19] | Waya adamu oskun antawazawjuka aljannata fakula min haythu shi/tumawala taqraba hathihi alshshajaratafatakoona mina alththalimeena
| ويا آدم اسكن أنت وزوجك الجنة فكلا من حيث شئتما ولا تقربا هذه الشجرة فتكونا من الظالمين
وَيَا آدَمُ اسْكُنْ أَنتَ وَزَوْجُكَ الْجَنَّةَ فَكُلاَ مِنْ حَيْثُ شِئْتُمَا وَلاَ تَقْرَبَا هَـذِهِ الشَّجَرَةَ فَتَكُونَا مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ |

| Yusuf Ali | "O Adam! dwell thou and thy wife in the Garden, and enjoy (its good things) as ye wish: but approach not this tree, or ye run into harm and transgression."

| Words | |ويا - And O| آدم - And O Adam!| اسكن - Dwell,| أنت - you| وزوجك - and your wife,| الجنة - (in) the Garden,| فكلا - and you both eat| من - from| حيث - wherever| شئتما - you both wish,| ولا - but (do) not| تقربا - approach [both of you]| هذه - this| الشجرة - [the] tree| فتكونا - lest you both be| من - among| الظالمين - the wrongdoers."| |
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور اے آدم! تم اور تمہاری زوجہ (دونوں) جنت میں سکونت اختیار کرو سو جہاں سے تم دونوں چاہو کھایا کرو اور (بس) اس درخت کے قریب مت جانا ورنہ تم دونوں حد سے تجاوز کرنے والوں میں سے ہو جاؤ گے، |

[7:20] | Fawaswasa lahuma alshshaytanuliyubdiya lahuma ma wooriya AAanhuma minsaw-atihima waqala ma nahakumarabbukuma AAan hathihi alshshajarati illaan takoona malakayni aw takoona mina alkhalideena
| فوسوس لهما الشيطان ليبدي لهما ما ووري عنهما من سوآتهما وقال ما نهاكما ربكما عن هذه الشجرة إلا أن تكونا ملكين أو تكونا من الخالدين
فَوَسْوَسَ لَهُمَا الشَّيْطَانُ لِيُبْدِيَ لَهُمَا مَا وُورِيَ عَنْهُمَا مِن سَوْءَاتِهِمَا وَقَالَ مَا نَهَاكُمَا رَبُّكُمَا عَنْ هَـذِهِ الشَّجَرَةِ إِلاَّ أَن تَكُونَا مَلَكَيْنِ أَوْ تَكُونَا مِنَ الْخَالِدِينَ |

| Yusuf Ali | Then began Satan to whisper suggestions to them, bringing openly before their minds all their shame that was hidden from them (before): he said: "Your Lord only forbade you this tree, lest ye should become angels or such beings as live for ever."

| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر شیطان نے دونوں کے دل میں وسوسہ ڈالا تاکہ ان کی شرم گاہیں جو ان (کی نظروں) سے پوشیدہ تھیں ان پر ظاہر کر دے اور کہنے لگا: (اے آدم و حوا!) تمہارے رب نے تمہیں اس درخت (کا پھل کھانے) سے نہیں روکا مگر (صرف اس لئے کہ اسے کھانے سے) تم دونوں فرشتے بن جاؤ گے (یعنی علائقِ بشری سے پاک ہو جاؤ گے) یا تم دونوں (اس میں) ہمیشہ رہنے والے بن جاؤ گے (یعنی اس مقامِ قرب سے کبھی محروم نہیں کئے جاؤ گے)، |

[7:21] | Waqasamahuma innee lakumalamina alnnasiheena
| وقاسمهما إني لكما لمن الناصحين
وَقَاسَمَهُمَا إِنِّي لَكُمَا لَمِنَ النَّاصِحِينَ |

| Yusuf Ali | And he swore to them both, that he was their sincere adviser.

[7:22] | Fadallahuma bighuroorin falammathaqa alshshajarata badat lahuma saw-atuhumawatafiqa yakhsifani AAalayhimamin waraqi aljannati wanadahuma rabbuhumaalam anhakuma AAan tilkuma alshshajaratiwaaqul lakuma inna alshshaytana lakumaAAaduwwun mubeenun
| فدلاهما بغرور فلما ذاقا الشجرة بدت لهما سوآتهما وطفقا يخصفان عليهما من ورق الجنة وناداهما ربهما ألم أنهكما عن تلكما الشجرة وأقل لكما إن الشيطان لكما عدو مبين
فَدَلاَّهُمَا بِغُرُورٍ فَلَمَّا ذَاقَا الشَّجَرَةَ بَدَتْ لَهُمَا سَوْءَاتُهُمَا وَطَفِقَا يَخْصِفَانِ عَلَيْهِمَا مِن وَرَقِ الْجَنَّةِ وَنَادَاهُمَا رَبُّهُمَا أَلَمْ أَنْهَكُمَا عَن تِلْكُمَا الشَّجَرَةِ وَأَقُل لَّكُمَا إِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ لَكُمَا عَدُوٌّ مُّبِينٌ |

| Yusuf Ali | So by deceit he brought about their fall: when they tasted of the tree, their shame became manifest to them, and they began to sew together the leaves of the garden over their bodies. And their Lord called unto them: "Did I not forbid you that tree, and tell you that Satan was an avowed enemy unto you?"

| Words | |فدلاهما - So he made both of them fall| بغرور - by deception.| فلما - Then when| ذاقا - they both tasted| الشجرة - the tree,| بدت - became apparent| لهما - to both of them| سوآتهما - their shame,| وطفقا - and they began| يخصفان - (to) fasten| عليهما - over themselves| من - from| ورق - (the) leaves| الجنة - (of) the Garden.| وناداهما - And called them both| ربهما - their Lord,| ألم - "Did not| أنهكما - I forbid you both| عن - from| تلكما - this| الشجرة - [the] tree| وأقل - and [I] say| لكما - to both of you,| إن - that| الشيطان - [the] Shaitaan| لكما - to both of you| عدو - (is) an enemy,| مبين - open?"| |
| Tahir ul Qadri | پس وہ فریب کے ذریعے دونوں کو (درخت کا پھل کھانے تک) اتار لایا، سو جب دونوں نے درخت (کے پھل) کو چکھ لیا تو دونوں کی شرم گاہیں ان کے لئے ظاہر ہوگئیں اور دونوں اپنے (بدن کے) اوپر جنت کے پتے چپکانے لگے، تو ان کے رب نے انہیں ندا فرمائی کہ کیا میں نے تم دونوں کو اس درخت (کے قریب جانے) سے روکا نہ تھا اور تم سے یہ (نہ) فرمایا تھا کہ بیشک شیطان تم دونوں کا کھلا دشمن ہے، |

[7:23] | Qala rabbana thalamnaanfusana wa-in lam taghfir lana watarhamnalanakoonanna mina alkhasireena
| قالا ربنا ظلمنا أنفسنا وإن لم تغفر لنا وترحمنا لنكونن من الخاسرين
قَالاَ رَبَّنَا ظَلَمْنَا أَنفُسَنَا وَإِن لَّمْ تَغْفِرْ لَنَا وَتَرْحَمْنَا لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ |

| Yusuf Ali | They said: "Our Lord! We have wronged our own souls: If thou forgive us not and bestow not upon us Thy Mercy, we shall certainly be lost."

| Words | |قالا - Both of them said,| ربنا - "Our Lord| ظلمنا - we have wronged| أنفسنا - ourselves,| وإن - and if| لم - not| تغفر - You forgive| لنا - [for] us| وترحمنا - and have mercy (on) us,| لنكونن - surely, we will be| من - among| الخاسرين - the losers."| |
| Tahir ul Qadri | دونوں نے عرض کیا: اے ہمارے رب! ہم نے اپنی جانوں پر زیادتی کی؛ اور اگر تو نے ہم کو نہ بخشا اور ہم پر رحم (نہ) فرمایا تو ہم یقیناً نقصان اٹھانے والوں میں سے ہو جائیں گے، |

[7:24] | Qala ihbitoo baAAdukumlibaAAdin AAaduwwun walakum fee al-ardi mustaqarrunwamataAAun ila heenin
| قال اهبطوا بعضكم لبعض عدو ولكم في الأرض مستقر ومتاع إلى حين
قَالَ اهْبِطُواْ بَعْضُكُمْ لِبَعْضٍ عَدُوٌّ وَلَكُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ مُسْتَقَرٌّ وَمَتَاعٌ إِلَى حِينٍ |

| Yusuf Ali | (Allah) said: "Get ye down. With enmity between yourselves. On earth will be your dwelling-place and your means of livelihood,- for a time."

| Words | |قال - (Allah) said,| اهبطوا - "Get down| بعضكم - some of you| لبعض - to some others| عدو - (as) enemy.| ولكم - And for you| في - in| الأرض - the earth| مستقر - (is) a dwelling place| ومتاع - and livelihood| إلى - for| حين - a time."| |
| Tahir ul Qadri | ارشادِ باری ہوا: تم (سب) نیچے اتر جاؤ تم میں سے بعض بعض کے دشمن ہیں، اور تمہارے لئے زمین میں معیّن مدت تک جائے سکونت اور متاعِ حیات (مقرر کر دیئے گئے ہیں گویا تمہیں زمین میں قیام و معاش کے دو بنیادی حق دے کر اتارا جا رہا ہے، اس پر اپنا نظامِ زندگی استوار کرنا)، |

[7:25] | Qala feeha tahyawnawafeeha tamootoona waminha tukhrajoona
| قال فيها تحيون وفيها تموتون ومنها تخرجون
قَالَ فِيهَا تَحْيَوْنَ وَفِيهَا تَمُوتُونَ وَمِنْهَا تُخْرَجُونَ |

| Yusuf Ali | He said: "Therein shall ye live, and therein shall ye die; but from it shall ye be taken out (at last)."

| Words | |قال - He said,| فيها - "In it| تحيون - you will live| وفيها - and in it| تموتون - you will die| ومنها - and from it| تخرجون - you will be brought forth."| |
| Tahir ul Qadri | ارشاد فرمایا: تم اسی (زمین) میں زندگی گزارو گے اور اسی میں مَرو گے اور (قیامت کے روز) اسی میں سے نکالے جاؤ گے، |

[7:26] | Ya banee adama qad anzalnaAAalaykum libasan yuwaree saw-atikumwareeshan walibasu alttaqwa thalikakhayrun thalika min ayati AllahilaAAallahum yaththakkaroona
| يا بني آدم قد أنزلنا عليكم لباسا يواري سوآتكم وريشا ولباس التقوى ذلك خير ذلك من آيات الله لعلهم يذكرون
يَا بَنِي آدَمَ قَدْ أَنزَلْنَا عَلَيْكُمْ لِبَاسًا يُوَارِي سَوْءَاتِكُمْ وَرِيشًا وَلِبَاسُ التَّقْوَى ذَلِكَ خَيْرٌ ذَلِكَ مِنْ آيَاتِ اللّهِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَذَّكَّرُونَ |

| Yusuf Ali | O ye Children of Adam! We have bestowed raiment upon you to cover your shame, as well as to be an adornment to you. But the raiment of righteousness,- that is the best. Such are among the Signs of Allah, that they may receive admonition!

| Tahir ul Qadri | اے اولادِ آدم! بیشک ہم نے تمہارے لئے (ایسا) لباس اتارا ہے جو تمہاری شرم گاہوں کو چھپائے اور (تمہیں) زینت بخشے اور (اس ظاہری لباس کے ساتھ ایک باطنی لباس بھی اتارا ہے اور وہی) تقوٰی کا لباس ہی بہتر ہے۔ یہ (ظاہر و باطن کے لباس سب) اﷲ کی نشانیاں ہیں تاکہ وہ نصیحت قبول کریں، |

[7:27] | Ya banee adama layaftinannakumu alshshaytanu kama akhrajaabawaykum mina aljannati yanziAAu AAanhuma libasahumaliyuriyahuma saw-atihima innahu yarakumhuwa waqabeeluhu min haythu la tarawnahum innajaAAalna alshshayateena awliyaa lillatheenala yu/minoona
| يا بني آدم لا يفتننكم الشيطان كما أخرج أبويكم من الجنة ينزع عنهما لباسهما ليريهما سوآتهما إنه يراكم هو وقبيله من حيث لا ترونهم إنا جعلنا الشياطين أولياء للذين لا يؤمنون
يَا بَنِي آدَمَ لاَ يَفْتِنَنَّكُمُ الشَّيْطَانُ كَمَا أَخْرَجَ أَبَوَيْكُم مِّنَ الْجَنَّةِ يَـنْـزِعُ عَنْهُمَا لِبَاسَهُمَا لِيُرِيَهُمَا سَوْءَاتِهِمَا إِنَّهُ يَرَاكُمْ هُوَ وَقَبِيلُهُ مِنْ حَيْثُ لاَ تَرَوْنَهُمْ إِنَّا جَعَلْنَا الشَّيَاطِينَ أَوْلِيَاءَ لِلَّذِينَ لاَ يُؤْمِنُونَ |

| Yusuf Ali | O ye Children of Adam! Let not Satan seduce you, in the same manner as He got your parents out of the Garden, stripping them of their raiment, to expose their shame: for he and his tribe watch you from a position where ye cannot see them: We made the evil ones friends (only) to those without faith.

(کہیں) تمہیں شیطان فتنہ میں نہ ڈال دے جس طرح اس نے تمہارے ماں باپ کو جنت سے نکال دیا، ان سے ان کا لباس اتروا دیا تاکہ انہیں ان کی شرم گاہیں دکھا دے۔ بیشک وہ (خود) اور اس کا قبیلہ تمہیں (ایسی ایسی جگہوں سے) دیکھتا (رہتا) ہے جہاں سے تم انہیں نہیں دیکھ سکتے۔ بیشک ہم نے شیطانوں کو ایسے لوگوں کا دوست بنا دیا ہے جو ایمان نہیں رکھتے، |

[7:28] | Wa-itha faAAaloo fahishatan qaloowajadna AAalayha abaana waAllahuamarana biha qul inna Allaha laya/muru bialfahsha-i ataqooloona AAalaAllahi ma la taAAlamoona
| وإذا فعلوا فاحشة قالوا وجدنا عليها آباءنا والله أمرنا بها قل إن الله لا يأمر بالفحشاء أتقولون على الله ما لا تعلمون
وَإِذَا فَعَلُواْ فَاحِشَةً قَالُواْ وَجَدْنَا عَلَيْهَا آبَاءَنَا وَاللّهُ أَمَرَنَا بِهَا قُلْ إِنَّ اللّهَ لاَ يَأْمُرُ بِالْفَحْشَاءِ أَتَقُولُونَ عَلَى اللّهِ مَا لاَ تَعْلَمُونَ |

| Yusuf Ali | When they do aught that is shameful, they say: "We found our fathers doing so"; and "Allah commanded us thus": Say: "Nay, Allah never commands what is shameful: do ye say of Allah what ye know not?"

| Tahir ul Qadri | اور جب وہ کوئی بے حیائی کا کام کرتے ہیں (تو) کہتے ہیں: ہم نے اپنے باپ دادا کو اسی (طریقہ) پر پایا اور اﷲ نے ہمیں اسی کا حکم دیا ہے۔ فرما دیجئے کہ اﷲ بے حیائی کے کاموں کا حکم نہیں دیتا۔ کیا تم اﷲ (کی ذات) پر ایسی باتیں کرتے ہو جو تم خود (بھی) نہیں جانتے، |

[7:29] | Qul amara rabbee bialqistiwaaqeemoo wujoohakum AAinda kulli masjidin waodAAoohumukhliseena lahu alddeena kama badaakumtaAAoodoona
| قل أمر ربي بالقسط وأقيموا وجوهكم عند كل مسجد وادعوه مخلصين له الدين كما بدأكم تعودون
قُلْ أَمَرَ رَبِّي بِالْقِسْطِ وَأَقِيمُواْ وُجُوهَكُمْ عِندَ كُلِّ مَسْجِدٍ وَادْعُوهُ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ الدِّينَ كَمَا بَدَأَكُمْ تَعُودُونَ |

| Yusuf Ali | Say: "My Lord hath commanded justice; and that ye set your whole selves (to Him) at every time and place of prayer, and call upon Him, making your devotion sincere as in His sight: such as He created you in the beginning, so shall ye return."

[7:30] | Fareeqan hada wafareeqan haqqaAAalayhimu alddalalatu innahumu ittakhathooalshshayateena awliyaa min dooni Allahiwayahsaboona annahum muhtadoona
| فريقا هدى وفريقا حق عليهم الضلالة إنهم اتخذوا الشياطين أولياء من دون الله ويحسبون أنهم مهتدون
فَرِيقًا هَدَى وَفَرِيقًا حَقَّ عَلَيْهِمُ الضَّلاَلَةُ إِنَّهُمُ اتَّخَذُوا الشَّيَاطِينَ أَوْلِيَاءَ مِن دُونِ اللّهِ وَيَحْسَبُونَ أَنَّهُم مُّهْتَدُونَ |

| Yusuf Ali | Some He hath guided: Others have (by their choice) deserved the loss of their way; in that they took the evil ones, in preference to Allah, for their friends and protectors, and think that they receive guidance.
