[21:31] | vece`alnâ fi-l'arḍi ravâsiye en temîde bihim vece`alnâ fîhâ ficâcen sübülel le`allehüm yehtedûn. |  وجعلنا في الأرض رواسي أن تميد بهم وجعلنا فيها فجاجا سبلا لعلهم يهتدون
وَجَعَلْنَا فِي الْأَرْضِ رَوَاسِيَ أَن تَمِيدَ بِهِمْ وَجَعَلْنَا فِيهَا فِجَاجًا سُبُلًا لَّعَلَّهُمْ يَهْتَدُونَ |

| Elmalılı | Yeryüzünde, insanlar sarsılmasın diye sabit dağlar yarattık, rahat gidebilsinler diye dağların aralarında geniş yollar var ettik. |
| Y. Ali | And We have set on the earth mountains standing firm, lest it should shake with them, and We have made therein broad highways (between mountains) for them to pass through: that they may receive Guidance.

[21:32] | vece`alne-ssemâe saḳfem maḥfûżâ. vehüm `an âyâtihâ mü`riḍûn. | وجعلنا السماء سقفا محفوظا وهم عن آياتها معرضون
وَجَعَلْنَا السَّمَاءَ سَقْفًا مَّحْفُوظًا وَهُمْ عَنْ آيَاتِهَا مُعْرِضُونَ |

| Elmalılı | Gökyüzünü de korunmuş bir tavan yaptık. Kâfirler ise, gökyüzünün alâmetlerinden (Allah'ın kudret ve azametine delalet eden delillerinden) yüz çeviriyorlar. |
| Y. Ali | And We have made the heavens as a canopy well guarded: yet do they turn away from the Signs which these things (point to)!

[21:33] | vehüve-lleẕî ḫaleḳa-lleyle vennehâra veşşemse velḳamer. küllün fî felekiy yesbeḥûn. | وهو الذي خلق الليل والنهار والشمس والقمر كل في فلك يسبحون
وَهُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ اللَّيْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ وَالشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ كُلٌّ فِي فَلَكٍ يَسْبَحُونَ |

| Elmalılı | Geceyi, gündüzü, güneşi ve ayı yaratan O'dur. Bunların her biri kendi dairesinde dolaşmaktadır. |
| Y. Ali | It is He Who created the Night and the Day, and the sun and the moon: all (the celestial bodies) swim along, each in its rounded course.

[21:34] | vemâ ce`alnâ libeşerim min ḳablike-lḫuld. efeim mitte fehümü-lḫâlidûn. | وما جعلنا لبشر من قبلك الخلد أفإن مت فهم الخالدون
وَمَا جَعَلْنَا لِبَشَرٍ مِّن قَبْلِكَ الْخُلْدَ أَفَإِن مِّتَّ فَهُمُ الْخَالِدُونَ |

| Elmalılı | Ey Muhammed! Senden önce de hiçbir insanı ölümsüz kılmadık, sen ölürsün de onlar baki kalır mı? Senin ölmenle rahata kavuşacaklarını mı sanıyorlar? |
| Y. Ali | We granted not to any man before thee permanent life (here): if then thou shouldst die, would they live permanently?

[21:35] | küllü nefsin ẕâiḳatü-lmevt. veneblûküm bişşerri velḫayri fitneh. veileynâ türce`ûn. | كل نفس ذائقة الموت ونبلوكم بالشر والخير فتنة وإلينا ترجعون
كُلُّ نَفْسٍ ذَائِقَةُ الْمَوْتِ وَنَبْلُوكُم بِالشَّرِّ وَالْخَيْرِ فِتْنَةً وَإِلَيْنَا تُرْجَعُونَ |

| Elmalılı | Her nefis ölümü tadacaktır. Sizi bir imtihan olarak kötülük ve iyilikle deneyeceğiz. Hepiniz de sonunda bize döndürüleceksiniz. |
| Y. Ali | Every soul shall have a taste of death: and We test you by evil and by good by way of trial. to Us must ye return.

[21:36] | veiẕâ raâke-lleẕîne keferû iy yetteḫiẕûneke illâ hüzüvâ. ehâẕe-lleẕî yeẕküru âliheteküm. vehüm biẕikri-rraḥmâni hüm kâfirûn. | وإذا رآك الذين كفروا إن يتخذونك إلا هزوا أهذا الذي يذكر آلهتكم وهم بذكر الرحمن هم كافرون
وَإِذَا رَآكَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا إِن يَتَّخِذُونَكَ إِلَّا هُزُوًا أَهَذَا الَّذِي يَذْكُرُ آلِهَتَكُمْ وَهُم بِذِكْرِ الرَّحْمَنِ هُمْ كَافِرُونَ |

| Elmalılı | O inkârcılar seni gördükleri zaman, seni alaya alıyorlar ve "İlâhlarınızı diline dolayan bu mudur?" diyorlar. Halbuki onlar Rahmân'ın kitabını inkâr ediyorlar. |
| Y. Ali | When the Unbelievers see thee, they treat thee not except with ridicule. "Is this," (they say), "the one who talks of your gods?" and they blaspheme at the mention of (Allah) Most Gracious!

[21:37] | ḫuliḳa-l'insânü min `acel. seürîküm âyâtî felâ testa`cilûn. | خلق الإنسان من عجل سأريكم آياتي فلا تستعجلون
خُلِقَ الْإِنسَانُ مِنْ عَجَلٍ سَأُوْرِيكُمْ آيَاتِي فَلَا تَسْتَعْجِلُونِ |

| Elmalılı | İnsan aceleci olarak yaratılmıştır. Size yakında (azaba dair) alametlerimi göstereceğim. Şimdi siz acele etmeyin. |
| Y. Ali | Man is a creature of haste: soon (enough) will I show you My Signs; then ye will not ask Me to hasten them!

[21:38] | veyeḳûlûne metâ hâẕe-lva`dü in küntüm ṣâdiḳîn. | ويقولون متى هذا الوعد إن كنتم صادقين
وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَى هَذَا الْوَعْدُ إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ |

| Elmalılı | "Doğru sözlü iseniz (bildirin) bu vaad ne zamandır?" derler. |
| Y. Ali | They say: "When will this promise come to pass, if ye are telling the truth?"

| Words | |ويقولون - And they say,| متى - "When (will be fulfilled)| هذا - this| الوعد - promise,| إن - if| كنتم - you are| صادقين - truthful?"| |

[21:39] | lev ya`lemü-lleẕîne keferû ḥîne lâ yeküffûne `av vucûhihimü-nnâra velâ `an żuhûrihim velâ hüm yünṣarûn. | لو يعلم الذين كفروا حين لا يكفون عن وجوههم النار ولا عن ظهورهم ولا هم ينصرون
لَوْ يَعْلَمُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا حِينَ لَا يَكُفُّونَ عَن وُجُوهِهِمُ النَّارَ وَلَا عَن ظُهُورِهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يُنصَرُونَ |

| Elmalılı | Bu kâfirler ateşi yüzlerinden ve sırtlarından men edemeyecekleri ve yardım da göremeyecekleri zamanı, bir bilseler! |
| Y. Ali | If only the Unbelievers knew (the time) when they will not be able to ward off the fire from their faces, nor yet from their backs, and (when) no help can reach them!

[21:40] | bel te'tîhim bagteten fetebhetühüm felâ yesteṭî`ûne raddehâ velâ hüm yünżarûn. | بل تأتيهم بغتة فتبهتهم فلا يستطيعون ردها ولا هم ينظرون
بَلْ تَأْتِيهِم بَغْتَةً فَتَبْهَتُهُمْ فَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ رَدَّهَا وَلَا هُمْ يُنظَرُونَ |

| Elmalılı | Doğrusu bu azap onlara ansızın gelecek de kendilerini şaşırtacaktır. Artık ne geri çevrilmesine güçleri yetecek, ne de kendilerine mühlet verilecektir. |
| Y. Ali | Nay, it may come to them all of a sudden and confound them: no power will they have then to avert it, nor will they (then) get respite.

| Words | |بل - Nay,| تأتيهم - it will come to them| بغتة - unexpectedly| فتبهتهم - and bewilder them,| فلا - then not| يستطيعون - they will be able| ردها - to repel it,| ولا - and not| هم - they| ينظرون - will be given respite.| |

[21:41] | veleḳadi-stühzie birusülim min ḳablike feḥâḳa billeẕîne seḫirû minhüm mâ kânû bihî yestehziûn. | ولقد استهزئ برسل من قبلك فحاق بالذين سخروا منهم ما كانوا به يستهزئون
وَلَقَدِ اسْتُهْزِئَ بِرُسُلٍ مِّن قَبْلِكَ فَحَاقَ بِالَّذِينَ سَخِرُوا مِنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِؤُونَ |

| Elmalılı | Yemin olsun ki, senden önce birçok peygamberle alay edildi de içlerinden alay edenleri, o alay ettikleri şey (azap) kuşatıverdi. |
| Y. Ali | Mocked were (many) messenger before thee; But their scoffers were hemmed in by the thing that they mocked.

| Words | |ولقد - And verily,| استهزئ - were mocked| برسل - Messengers| من - before you| قبلك - before you| فحاق - then surrounded| بالذين - those who| سخروا - mocked| منهم - from them| ما - what| كانوا - they used| به - at it| يستهزئون - (to) mock.| |

[21:42] | ḳul mey yekleüküm billeyli vennehâri mine-rraḥmân. bel hüm `an ẕikri rabbihim mü`riḍûn. | قل من يكلؤكم بالليل والنهار من الرحمن بل هم عن ذكر ربهم معرضون
قُلْ مَن يَكْلَؤُكُم بِاللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ مِنَ الرَّحْمَنِ بَلْ هُمْ عَن ذِكْرِ رَبِّهِم مُّعْرِضُونَ |

| Elmalılı | De ki: "Geceleyin ve gündüzün sizi Rahmân'dan kim koruyabilir?" Ama onlar Rablerinin kitabından yüz çevirmektedirler. |
| Y. Ali | Say: "Who can keep you safe by night and by day from (the Wrath of) (Allah) Most Gracious?" Yet they turn away from the mention of their Lord.

[21:43] | em lehüm âlihetün temne`uhüm min dûninâ. lâ yesteṭî`ûne naṣra enfüsihim velâ hüm minnâ yuṣḥabûn. | أم لهم آلهة تمنعهم من دوننا لا يستطيعون نصر أنفسهم ولا هم منا يصحبون
أَمْ لَهُمْ آلِهَةٌ تَمْنَعُهُم مِّن دُونِنَا لَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ نَصْرَ أَنفُسِهِمْ وَلَا هُم مِّنَّا يُصْحَبُونَ |

| Elmalılı | Yoksa kendilerini bize karşı savunacak tanrıları mı var? O tanrılar kendilerine bile yardım edemezler, katımızdan da dostluk görmezler. |
| Y. Ali | Or have they gods that can guard them from Us? They have no power to aid themselves, nor can they be defended from Us.

[21:44] | bel metta`nâ hâülâi veâbâehüm ḥattâ ṭâle `aleyhimü-l`umür. efelâ yeravne ennâ ne'ti-l'arḍa nenḳuṣuhâ min aṭrâfihâ. efehümü-lgâlibûn. | بل متعنا هؤلاء وآباءهم حتى طال عليهم العمر أفلا يرون أنا نأتي الأرض ننقصها من أطرافها أفهم الغالبون
بَلْ مَتَّعْنَا هَؤُلَاءِ وَآبَاءَهُمْ حَتَّى طَالَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْعُمُرُ أَفَلَا يَرَوْنَ أَنَّا نَأْتِي الْأَرْضَ نَنقُصُهَا مِنْ أَطْرَافِهَا أَفَهُمُ الْغَالِبُونَ |

| Elmalılı | Doğrusu biz o kâfirleri ve atalarını yaşattık, hatta o ömür onlara uzun geldi. Fakat şimdi memleketlerini her yandan eksilttiğimizi görmüyorlar mı? O halde üstün gelen onlar mıdır? |
| Y. Ali | Nay, We gave the good things of this life to these men and their fathers until the period grew long for them; See they not that We gradually reduce the land (in their control) from its outlying borders? Is it then they who will win?

[21:45] | ḳul innemâ ünẕiruküm bilvaḥy. velâ yesme`u-ṣṣummü-ddü`âe iẕâ mâ yünẕerûn. | قل إنما أنذركم بالوحي ولا يسمع الصم الدعاء إذا ما ينذرون
قُلْ إِنَّمَا أُنذِرُكُم بِالْوَحْيِ وَلَا يَسْمَعُ الصُّمُّ الدُّعَاءَ إِذَا مَا يُنذَرُونَ |

| Elmalılı | De ki: "Ben sizi ancak vahiyle korkutup uyarıyorum," uyarıldıkları zaman sağırlar çağrıyı duymazlar. |
| Y. Ali | Say, "I do but warn you according to revelation": But the deaf will not hear the call, (even) when they are warned!

| Words | |قل - Say,| إنما - "Only| أنذركم - I warn you| بالوحي - by the revelation."| ولا - But not| يسمع - hear| الصم - the deaf| الدعاء - the call| إذا - when| ما - when| ينذرون - they are warned.| |

[21:46] | veleim messethüm nefḥatüm min `aẕâbi rabbike leyeḳûlünne yâ veylenâ innâ künnâ żâlimîn. | ولئن مستهم نفحة من عذاب ربك ليقولن يا ويلنا إنا كنا ظالمين
وَلَئِن مَّسَّتْهُمْ نَفْحَةٌ مِّنْ عَذَابِ رَبِّكَ لَيَقُولُنَّ يَا وَيْلَنَا إِنَّا كُنَّا ظَالِمِينَ |

| Elmalılı | Yemin olsun ki, Rabbinin azabından az bir şey onlara dokunursa, muhakkak "Vay bizlere, biz gerçekten zalimlerdik" diyeceklerdir. |
| Y. Ali | If but a breath of the Wrath of thy Lord do touch them, they will then say, "Woe to us! we did wrong indeed!"

| Words | |ولئن - And if| مستهم - touches them| نفحة - a whiff| من - of| عذاب - (the) punishment| ربك - (of) your Lord,| ليقولن - surely they will say,| يا - O| ويلنا - "O woe to us!| إنا - Indeed, we| كنا - [we] were| ظالمين - wrongdoers."| |

[21:47] | veneḍa`u-lmevâzîne-lḳiṣṭa liyevmi-lḳiyâmeti felâ tużlemü nefsün şey'â. vein kâne miŝḳâle ḥabbetim min ḫardelin eteynâ bihâ. vekefâ binâ ḥâsibîn. | ونضع الموازين القسط ليوم القيامة فلا تظلم نفس شيئا وإن كان مثقال حبة من خردل أتينا بها وكفى بنا حاسبين
وَنَضَعُ الْمَوَازِينَ الْقِسْطَ لِيَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ فَلَا تُظْلَمُ نَفْسٌ شَيْئًا وَإِن كَانَ مِثْقَالَ حَبَّةٍ مِّنْ خَرْدَلٍ أَتَيْنَا بِهَا وَكَفَى بِنَا حَاسِبِينَ |

| Elmalılı | Biz kıyamet günü için doğru teraziler kurarız; hiçbir kimse hiçbir haksızlığa uğratılmaz. Yapılan amel, bir hardal tanesi ağırlığınca da olsa, onu getirir (tartıya koyarız.). Hesap görenler olarak da biz kâfiyiz. |
| Y. Ali | We shall set up scales of justice for the Day of Judgment, so that not a soul will be dealt with unjustly in the least, and if there be (no more than) the weight of a mustard seed, We will bring it (to account): and enough are We to take account.

| Words | |ونضع - And We set| الموازين - the scales| القسط - (of) the justice| ليوم - for (the) Day| القيامة - (of) the Resurrection,| فلا - so not| تظلم - will be wronged| نفس - any soul| شيئا - (in) anything.| وإن - And if| كان - (there) be| مثقال - weight| حبة - (of) a seed| من - of| خردل - a mustard| أتينا - We will bring| بها - [with] it.| وكفى - And sufficient| بنا - (are) We| حاسبين - (as) Reckoners.| |
18.
[21:48] | veleḳad âteynâ mûsâ vehârûne-lfürḳâne veḍiyâev veẕikral lilmütteḳîn. | ولقد آتينا موسى وهارون الفرقان وضياء وذكرا للمتقين
وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا مُوسَى وَهَارُونَ الْفُرْقَانَ وَضِيَاءً وَذِكْرًا لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ |

| Elmalılı | Yemin olsun ki, Musa ve Harun'a eğriyi doğrudan ayıran kitabı, takva sahibleri için bir ışık ve öğüt olarak verdik. |
| Y. Ali | In the past We granted to Moses and Aaron the criterion (for judgment), and a Light and a Message for those who would do right,-

| Words | |ولقد - And verily,| آتينا - We gave| موسى - Musa| وهارون - and Harun| الفرقان - the Criterion| وضياء - and a light| وذكرا - and a Reminder| للمتقين - for the righteous.| |

[21:49] | elleẕîne yaḫşevne rabbehüm bilgaybi vehüm mine-ssâ`ati müşfiḳûn. | الذين يخشون ربهم بالغيب وهم من الساعة مشفقون
الَّذِينَ يَخْشَوْنَ رَبَّهُم بِالْغَيْبِ وَهُم مِّنَ السَّاعَةِ مُشْفِقُونَ |

| Elmalılı | Onlar görmedikleri halde Rablerinden korkarlar, kıyamet saatinden de titrerler. |
| Y. Ali | Those who fear their Lord in their most secret thoughts, and who hold the Hour (of Judgment) in awe.

| Words | |الذين - Those who| يخشون - fear| ربهم - their Lord| بالغيب - in the unseen,| وهم - and they| من - of| الساعة - the Hour| مشفقون - (are) afraid.| |
20.
[21:50] | vehâẕâ ẕikrum mübârakün enzelnâh. efeentüm lehû münkirûn. | وهذا ذكر مبارك أنزلناه أفأنتم له منكرون
وَهَذَا ذِكْرٌ مُّبَارَكٌ أَنزَلْنَاهُ أَفَأَنتُمْ لَهُ مُنكِرُونَ |

| Elmalılı | İşte bu (Kwr'ân) da indirdiğimiz kutsal bir kitaptır. Şimdi siz bunu mu inkâr ediyorsunuz? |
| Y. Ali | And this is a blessed Message which We have sent down: will ye then reject it?

| Words | |وهذا - And this| ذكر - (is) a Reminder| مبارك - blessed,| أنزلناه - which We (have) revealed.| أفأنتم - Then are you| له - of it| منكرون - rejecters?| |
21.
[21:51] | veleḳad âteynâ ibrâhîme ruşdehû min ḳablü vekünnâ bihî `âlimîn. | ولقد آتينا إبراهيم رشده من قبل وكنا به عالمين
وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا إِبْرَاهِيمَ رُشْدَهُ مِن قَبْلُ وَكُنَّا بِه عَالِمِينَ |

| Elmalılı | And olsun ki biz daha önce İbrahim'e de rüşdünü vermiştik (akla uygun olanı göstermiştik). Biz onu biliyorduk. |
| Y. Ali | We bestowed aforetime on Abraham his rectitude of conduct, and well were We acquainted with him.

| Words | |ولقد - And verily,| آتينا - We gave| إبراهيم - Ibrahim| رشده - his guidance| من - before,| قبل - before,| وكنا - and We were| به - about him| عالمين - Well-Knowing.| |

[21:52] | iẕ ḳâle liebîhi veḳavmihî mâ hâẕihi-ttemâŝîlü-lletî entüm lehâ `âkifûn. | إذ قال لأبيه وقومه ما هذه التماثيل التي أنتم لها عاكفون
إِذْ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوْمِهِ مَا هَذِهِ التَّمَاثِيلُ الَّتِي أَنتُمْ لَهَا عَاكِفُونَ |

| Elmalılı | O zaman o, babasına ve kavmine: "Bu tapınıp durduğunuz heykeller nedir?" demişti. |
| Y. Ali | Behold! he said to his father and his people, "What are these images, to which ye are (so assiduously) devoted?"

| Words | |إذ - When| قال - he said| لأبيه - to his father| وقومه - and his people,| ما - "What| هذه - (are) these| التماثيل - [the] statues| التي - which| أنتم - you| لها - to it| عاكفون - (are) devoted?"| |

[21:53] | ḳâlû vecednâ âbâenâ lehâ `âbidîn. | قالوا وجدنا آباءنا لها عابدين
قَالُوا وَجَدْنَا آبَاءَنَا لَهَا عَابِدِينَ |

قَالُوا أَجِئْتَنَا بِالْحَقِّ أَمْ أَنتَ مِنَ اللَّاعِبِينَ |

| Elmalılı | Onlar: "Sen bize gerçeği mi getirdin (Sen ciddi mi söylüyorsun), yoksa şaka mı ediyorsun?" dediler. |
| Y. Ali | They said, "Have you brought us the Truth, or are you one of those who jest?"

[21:56] | ḳâle ber rabbüküm rabbü-ssemâvâti vel'arḍi-lleẕî feṭarahünn. veenâ `alâ ẕâliküm mine-şşâhidîn. | قال بل ربكم رب السماوات والأرض الذي فطرهن وأنا على ذلكم من الشاهدين
قَالَ بَل رَّبُّكُمْ رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ الَّذِي فَطَرَهُنَّ وَأَنَا عَلَى ذَلِكُم مِّنَ الشَّاهِدِينَ |

| Elmalılı | O şöyle dedi: "Hayır Rabbiniz göklerin ve yerin Rabbidir ki onları O yaratmıştır. Ben de buna şahidlik edenlerdenim." |
| Y. Ali | He said, "Nay, your Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth, He Who created them (from nothing): and I am a witness to this (Truth).

وَتَاللَّهِ لَأَكِيدَنَّ أَصْنَامَكُم بَعْدَ أَن تُوَلُّوا مُدْبِرِينَ |

[21:58] | fece`alehüm cüŝeŝen illâ kebîral lehüm le`allehüm ileyhi yerci`ûn. | فجعلهم جذاذا إلا كبيرا لهم لعلهم إليه يرجعون
فَجَعَلَهُمْ جُذَاذًا إِلَّا كَبِيرًا لَّهُمْ لَعَلَّهُمْ إِلَيْهِ يَرْجِعُونَ |

| Elmalılı | Derken o, bunları parça parça etti. Yalnız kendisine başvursunlar diye onların büyüğünü sağlam bıraktı. |
| Y. Ali | So he broke them to pieces, (all) but the biggest of them, that they might turn (and address themselves) to it.

قَالُوا مَن فَعَلَ هَذَا بِآلِهَتِنَا إِنَّهُ لَمِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ |

| Elmalılı | (Kavmi) "Tanrılarımıza bunu kim yaptı? Doğrusu o zalimlerden biridir." dediler. |
| Y. Ali | They said, "Who has done this to our gods? He must indeed be some man of impiety!"

قَالُوا سَمِعْنَا فَتًى يَذْكُرُهُمْ يُقَالُ لَهُ إِبْرَاهِيمُ |

| Elmalılı | (Bazıları) "İbrahim denen bir gencin, onları diline doladığını duymuştuk" dediler. |
| Y. Ali | They said, "We heard a youth talk of them: He is called Abraham."
