[28:61] | efemev ve`adnâhü va`den ḥasenen fehüve lâḳîhi kemem metta`nâhü metâ`a-lḥayâti-ddünyâ ŝümme hüve yevme-lḳiyâmeti mine-lmuḥḍarîn. |  أفمن وعدناه وعدا حسنا فهو لاقيه كمن متعناه متاع الحياة الدنيا ثم هو يوم القيامة من المحضرين
أَفَمَن وَعَدْنَاهُ وَعْدًا حَسَنًا فَهُوَ لَاقِيهِ كَمَن مَّتَّعْنَاهُ مَتَاعَ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا ثُمَّ هُوَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مِنَ الْمُحْضَرِينَ |

| Elmalılı | Şu halde, kendisine güzel bir vaadde bulunduğumuz, ardından ona kavuşan kimse, (sırf) dünya hayatının geçici zevkini yaşattığımız ve sonra kıyamet gününde (azab için) huzurumuza getirilenler arasında bulunan kimse gibi midir? |
| Y. Ali | Are (these two) alike?- one to whom We have made a goodly promise, and who is going to reach its (fulfilment), and one to whom We have given the good things of this life, but who, on the Day of Judgment, is to be among those brought up (for punishment)?

وَيَوْمَ يُنَادِيهِمْ فَيَقُولُ أَيْنَ شُرَكَائِيَ الَّذِينَ كُنتُمْ تَزْعُمُونَ |

| Elmalılı | O gün Allah onları çağırarak, "Benim ortaklarım olduklarını iddia ettikleriniz, hani nerede?" diyecektir. |
| Y. Ali | That Day (Allah) will call to them, and say "Where are my 'partners'?- whom ye imagined (to be such)?"

[28:63] | ḳâle-lleẕîne ḥaḳḳa `aleyhimü-lḳavlü rabbenâ hâülâi-lleẕîne agveynâ. agveynâhüm kemâ gaveynâ. teberra'nâ ileyk. mâ kânû iyyânâ ya`büdûn. | قال الذين حق عليهم القول ربنا هؤلاء الذين أغوينا أغويناهم كما غوينا تبرأنا إليك ما كانوا إيانا يعبدون
قَالَ الَّذِينَ حَقَّ عَلَيْهِمُ الْقَوْلُ رَبَّنَا هَؤُلَاءِ الَّذِينَ أَغْوَيْنَا أَغْوَيْنَاهُمْ كَمَا غَوَيْنَا تَبَرَّأْنَا إِلَيْكَ مَا كَانُوا إِيَّانَا يَعْبُدُونَ |

| Elmalılı | (O gün) haklarında azaba itilme, hükmü gerçekleşen kimseler, "Rabbimiz! Biz nasıl azmışsak, işte bu azmışları da öylece azdırdık. (Onların suçlarından) beri olduğumuzu sana arzederiz. Zaten onlar aslında bizlere tapmıyorlardı." derler. |
| Y. Ali | Those against whom the charge will be proved, will say: "Our Lord! These are the ones whom we led astray: we led them astray, as we were astray ourselves: we free ourselves (from them) in Thy presence: it was not us they worshipped."

[28:64] | veḳîle-d`û şürakâeküm fede`avhüm felem yestecîbû lehüm veraevü-l`aẕâb. lev ennehüm kânû yehtedûn. | وقيل ادعوا شركاءكم فدعوهم فلم يستجيبوا لهم ورأوا العذاب لو أنهم كانوا يهتدون
وَقِيلَ ادْعُوا شُرَكَاءَكُمْ فَدَعَوْهُمْ فَلَمْ يَسْتَجِيبُوا لَهُمْ وَرَأَوُا الْعَذَابَ لَوْ أَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا يَهْتَدُونَ |

| Elmalılı | "(Allah'a koştuğunuz) ortaklarınızı çağırın!" denir, onlar da çağırırlar; fakat kendilerine cevap vermezler ve (karşılarında) azabı görürler. Ne olurdu (dünyada iken) doğru yola girselerdi! |
| Y. Ali | It will be said (to them): "Call upon your 'partners' (for help)" :they will call upon them, but they will not listen to them; and they will see the Penalty (before them); (how they will wish) 'if only they had been open to guidance!'

[28:65] | veyevme yünâdîhim feyeḳûlü mâẕâ ecebtümü-lmürselîn. | ويوم يناديهم فيقول ماذا أجبتم المرسلين
وَيَوْمَ يُنَادِيهِمْ فَيَقُولُ مَاذَا أَجَبْتُمُ الْمُرْسَلِينَ |

| Elmalılı | O gün Allah onları çağırıp "Peygamberlere ne cevap verdiniz?" diyecektir. |
| Y. Ali | That Day (Allah) will call to them, and say: "What was the answer ye gave to the messengers?"

[28:66] | fe`amiyet `aleyhimü-l'embâü yevmeiẕin fehüm lâ yetesâelûn. | فعميت عليهم الأنباء يومئذ فهم لا يتساءلون
فَعَمِيَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ الْأَنبَاءُ يَوْمَئِذٍ فَهُمْ لَا يَتَسَاءَلُونَ |

| Elmalılı | İşte o gün onlara bütün haberler kapkaranlık olmuştur; onlar birbirlerine de soramayacaklardır. |
| Y. Ali | Then the (whole) story that Day will seem obscure to them (like light to the blind) and they will not be able (even) to question each other.

[28:67] | feemmâ men tâbe veâmene ve`amile ṣâliḥan fe`asâ ey yekûne mine-lmüfliḥîn. | فأما من تاب وآمن وعمل صالحا فعسى أن يكون من المفلحين
فَأَمَّا مَن تَابَ وَآمَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا فَعَسَى أَن يَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُفْلِحِينَ |

| Elmalılı | Fakat tevbe ederek, iman edip iyi işler yapan kimseye gelince, o, kurtuluşa erenler arasında olmayı umabilir. |
| Y. Ali | But any that (in this life) had repented, believed, and worked righteousness, will have hopes to be among those who achieve salvation.

[28:68] | verabbüke yaḫlüḳu mâ yeşâü veyaḫtâr. mâ kâne lehümü-lḫiyerah. sübḥâne-llâhi vete`âlâ `ammâ yüşrikûn. | وربك يخلق ما يشاء ويختار ما كان لهم الخيرة سبحان الله وتعالى عما يشركون
وَرَبُّكَ يَخْلُقُ مَا يَشَاءُ وَيَخْتَارُ مَا كَانَ لَهُمُ الْخِيَرَةُ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَتَعَالَى عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ |

| Elmalılı | Rabbin, dilediğini yaratır ve seçer. Onların seçim hakkı yoktur. Allah, onların ortak koştuklarından münezzehtir ve şanı yücedir. |
| Y. Ali | Thy Lord does create and choose as He pleases: no choice have they (in the matter): Glory to Allah! and far is He above the partners they ascribe (to Him)!

[28:69] | verabbüke ya`lemü mâ tükinnü ṣudûruhüm vemâ yü`linûn. | وربك يعلم ما تكن صدورهم وما يعلنون
وَرَبُّكَ يَعْلَمُ مَا تُكِنُّ صُدُورُهُمْ وَمَا يُعْلِنُونَ |

| Elmalılı | Rabbin, onların, sinelerinde gizlediklerini de, açığa vurduklarını da bilir. |
| Y. Ali | And thy Lord knows all that their hearts conceal and all that they reveal.

[28:70] | vehüve-llâhü lâ ilâhe illâ hû. lehü-lḥamdü fi-l'ûlâ vel'âḫirah. velehü-lḥukmü veileyhi türce`ûn. | وهو الله لا إله إلا هو له الحمد في الأولى والآخرة وله الحكم وإليه ترجعون
وَهُوَ اللَّهُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ لَهُ الْحَمْدُ فِي الْأُولَى وَالْآخِرَةِ وَلَهُ الْحُكْمُ وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ |

| Elmalılı | İşte O, Allah'tır. O'ndan başka tanrı yoktur. Önünde de, sonunda da hamd O'nundur, hüküm O'nundur. Ve ancak O'na döndürüleceksiniz. |
| Y. Ali | And He is Allah: There is no god but He. To Him be praise, at the first and at the last: for Him is the Command, and to Him shall ye (all) be brought back.

[28:71] | ḳul era'eytüm in ce`ale-llâhü `aleykümü-lleyle sermeden ilâ yevmi-lḳiyâmeti men ilâhün gayru-llâhi ye'tîküm biḍiyâ'. efelâ tesme`ûn. | قل أرأيتم إن جعل الله عليكم الليل سرمدا إلى يوم القيامة من إله غير الله يأتيكم بضياء أفلا تسمعون
قُلْ أَرَأَيْتُمْ إِن جَعَلَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْكُمُ اللَّيْلَ سَرْمَدًا إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ مَنْ إِلَهٌ غَيْرُ اللَّهِ يَأْتِيكُم بِضِيَاءٍ أَفَلَا تَسْمَعُونَ |

| Elmalılı | (Resulüm!) De ki: "Düşündünüz mü hiç, eğer Allah üzerinizde geceyi tâ kıyamet gününe kadar aralıksız devam ettirse, Allah'tan başka size ışık getirecek tanrı kimdir? Hâlâ işitmeyecek misiniz?" |
| Y. Ali | Say: See ye? If Allah were to make the night perpetual over you to the Day of Judgment, what god is there other than Allah, who can give you enlightenment? Will ye not then hearken?

[28:72] | ḳul era'eytüm in ce`ale-llâhü `aleykümü-nnehâra sermeden ilâ yevmi-lḳiyâmeti men ilâhün gayru-llâhi ye'tîküm bileylin teskünûne fîh. efelâ tübṣirûn. | قل أرأيتم إن جعل الله عليكم النهار سرمدا إلى يوم القيامة من إله غير الله يأتيكم بليل تسكنون فيه أفلا تبصرون
قُلْ أَرَأَيْتُمْ إِن جَعَلَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْكُمُ النَّهَارَ سَرْمَدًا إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ مَنْ إِلَهٌ غَيْرُ اللَّهِ يَأْتِيكُم بِلَيْلٍ تَسْكُنُونَ فِيهِ أَفَلَا تُبْصِرُونَ |

| Elmalılı | De ki: "Haber verin bakayım, eğer Allah üzerinizde gündüzü ta kıyamet gününe kadar aralıksız devam ettirse, Allah'tan başka, istirahat edeceğiniz geceyi size getirecek tanrı kimdir? Hâlâ görmeyecek misiniz?" |

[28:73] | vemir raḥmetihî ce`ale lekümü-lleyle vennehâra liteskünû fîhi velitebtegû min faḍlihî vele`alleküm teşkürûn. | ومن رحمته جعل لكم الليل والنهار لتسكنوا فيه ولتبتغوا من فضله ولعلكم تشكرون
وَمِن رَّحْمَتِهِ جَعَلَ لَكُمُ اللَّيْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ لِتَسْكُنُوا فِيهِ وَلِتَبْتَغُوا مِن فَضْلِهِ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ |

| Elmalılı | Rahmetinden dolayı, Allah, geceyi ve gündüzü yarattı ki geceleyin dinlenesiniz (gündüzün) ise O'nun lütuf ve kereminden (rızkınızı) arayasınız. Umulur ki şükredersiniz. |
| Y. Ali | It is out of His Mercy that He has made for you Night and Day,- that ye may rest therein, and that ye may seek of his Grace;- and in order that ye may be grateful.

وَيَوْمَ يُنَادِيهِمْ فَيَقُولُ أَيْنَ شُرَكَائِيَ الَّذِينَ كُنتُمْ تَزْعُمُونَ |

[28:75] | veneza`nâ min külli ümmetin şehîden feḳulnâ hâtû bürhâneküm fe`alimû enne-lḥaḳḳa lillâhi veḍalle `anhüm mâ kânû yefterûn. | ونزعنا من كل أمة شهيدا فقلنا هاتوا برهانكم فعلموا أن الحق لله وضل عنهم ما كانوا يفترون
وَنَزَعْنَا مِن كُلِّ أُمَّةٍ شَهِيدًا فَقُلْنَا هَاتُوا بُرْهَانَكُمْ فَعَلِمُوا أَنَّ الْحَقَّ لِلَّهِ وَضَلَّ عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا يَفْتَرُونَ |

| Elmalılı | (O gün) her ümmetten bir şahit çıkarır, "Haydin, kesin delilinizi getirin!" deriz. O zaman bilirler ki, hakikat Allah'a aittir ve uydurageldikleri şeyler (putlar) de kendilerinden ayrılıp kaybolmuşlardır. |
| Y. Ali | And from each people shall We draw a witness, and We shall say: "Produce your Proof": then shall they know that the Truth is in Allah (alone), and the (lies) which they invented will leave them in lurch.

[28:76] | inne ḳârûne kâne min ḳavmi mûsâ febegâ `aleyhim. veâteynâhü mine-lkünûzi mâ inne mefâtiḥahû letenûü bil`uṣbeti üli-lḳuvveh. iẕ ḳâle lehû ḳavmühû lâ tefraḥ inne-llâhe lâ yüḥibbü-lferiḥîn. | إن قارون كان من قوم موسى فبغى عليهم وآتيناه من الكنوز ما إن مفاتحه لتنوء بالعصبة أولي القوة إذ قال له قومه لا تفرح إن الله لا يحب الفرحين
إِنَّ قَارُونَ كَانَ مِن قَوْمِ مُوسَى فَبَغَى عَلَيْهِمْ وَآتَيْنَاهُ مِنَ الْكُنُوزِ مَا إِنَّ مَفَاتِحَهُ لَتَنُوءُ بِالْعُصْبَةِ أُولِي الْقُوَّةِ إِذْ قَالَ لَهُ قَوْمُهُ لَا تَفْرَحْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ الْفَرِحِينَ |

| Elmalılı | Karun, Musa'nın kavminden idi de, onlara karşı azgınlık etmişti. Biz ona öyle hazineler vermiştik ki, anahtarlarını güçlü kuvvetli bir topluluk zor taşırdı. Kavmi ona demişti ki: "Şımarma! Bil ki Allah şımarıkları sevmez." |

Ali | Qarun was doubtless, of the people of Moses; but he acted insolently towards them: such were the treasures We had bestowed on him that their very keys would have been a burden to a body of strong men, behold, his people said to him: "Exult not, for Allah loveth not those who exult (in riches).

[28:77] | vebtegi fîmâ âtâke-llâhü-ddâra-l'âḫirate velâ tense neṣîbeke mine-ddünyâ veaḥsin kemâ aḥsene-llâhü ileyke velâ tebgi-lfesâde fi-l'arḍ. inne-llâhe lâ yüḥibbü-lmüfsidîn. | وابتغ فيما آتاك الله الدار الآخرة ولا تنس نصيبك من الدنيا وأحسن كما أحسن الله إليك ولا تبغ الفساد في الأرض إن الله لا يحب المفسدين
وَابْتَغِ فِيمَا آتَاكَ اللَّهُ الدَّارَ الْآخِرَةَ وَلَا تَنسَ نَصِيبَكَ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا وَأَحْسِن كَمَا أَحْسَنَ اللَّهُ إِلَيْكَ وَلَا تَبْغِ الْفَسَادَ فِي الْأَرْضِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ الْمُفْسِدِينَ |

| Elmalılı | "Allah'ın sana verdiğinden (O'nun yolunda harcayarak) ahiret yurdunu gözet, ama dünyadan da nasibini unutma! Allah'ın sana ihsan ettiği gibi, sen de (insanlara) iyilik et. Yeryüzünde bozgunculuğu arzulama. Şüphesiz ki Allah, bozguncuları sevmez." |
| Y. Ali | "But seek, with the (wealth) which Allah has bestowed on thee, the Home of the Hereafter, nor forget thy portion in this world: but do thou good, as Allah has been good to thee, and seek not (occasions for) mischief in the land: for Allah loves not those who do mischief."

[28:78] | ḳâle innemâ ûtîtühû `alâ `ilmin `indî. evelem ya`lem enne-llâhe ḳad ehleke min ḳablihî mine-lḳurûni men hüve eşeddü minhü ḳuvvetev veekŝeru cem`â. velâ yüs'elü `an ẕünûbihimü-lmücrimûn. | قال إنما أوتيته على علم عندي أولم يعلم أن الله قد أهلك من قبله من القرون من هو أشد منه قوة وأكثر جمعا ولا يسأل عن ذنوبهم المجرمون
قَالَ إِنَّمَا أُوتِيتُهُ عَلَى عِلْمٍ عِندِي أَوَلَمْ يَعْلَمْ أَنَّ اللَّهَ قَدْ أَهْلَكَ مِن قَبْلِهِ مِنَ القُرُونِ مَنْ هُوَ أَشَدُّ مِنْهُ قُوَّةً وَأَكْثَرُ جَمْعًا وَلَا يُسْأَلُ عَن ذُنُوبِهِمُ الْمُجْرِمُونَ |

| Elmalılı | Karun ise: "O (servet) bana ancak kendimdeki bilgi sayesinde verildi." demiştir. Bilmiyor muydu ki Allah, kendinden önceki nesillerden, ondan daha güçlü, ondan daha çok taraftarı olan kimseleri helak etmişti. Günahkarlardan günahları sorulmaz (Allah onların hepsini bilir). |
| Y. Ali | He said: "This has been given to me because of a certain knowledge which I have." Did he not know that Allah had destroyed, before him, (whole) generations,- which were superior to him in strength and greater in the amount (of riches) they had collected? but the wicked are not called (immediately) to account for their sins.

[28:79] | feḫarace `alâ ḳavmihî fî zînetih. ḳâle-lleẕîne yürîdûne-lḥayâte-ddünyâ yâ leyte lenâ miŝle mâ ûtiye ḳârûnü innehû leẕû ḥażżin `ażîm. | فخرج على قومه في زينته قال الذين يريدون الحياة الدنيا يا ليت لنا مثل ما أوتي قارون إنه لذو حظ عظيم
فَخَرَجَ عَلَى قَوْمِهِ فِي زِينَتِهِ قَالَ الَّذِينَ يُرِيدُونَ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنيَا يَا لَيْتَ لَنَا مِثْلَ مَا أُوتِيَ قَارُونُ إِنَّهُ لَذُو حَظٍّ عَظِيمٍ |

| Elmalılı | Derken Karun, ihtişam içinde kavminin karşısına çıktı. Dünya hayatını arzulayanlar, "Keşke Karun'a verilenin benzeri bizim de olsaydı. Hakikat şu ki o, çok büyük devlet sahibidir" dediler. |
| Y. Ali | So he went forth among his people in the (pride of his wordly) glitter. Said those whose aim is the Life of this World: "Oh! that we had the like of what Qarun has got! for he is truly a lord of mighty good fortune!"

[28:80] | veḳâle-lleẕîne ûtü-l`ilme veyleküm ŝevâbü-llâhi ḫayrul limen âmene ve`amile ṣâliḥâ. velâ yüleḳḳâhâ ille-ṣṣâbirûn. | وقال الذين أوتوا العلم ويلكم ثواب الله خير لمن آمن وعمل صالحا ولا يلقاها إلا الصابرون
وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْعِلْمَ وَيْلَكُمْ ثَوَابُ اللَّهِ خَيْرٌ لِّمَنْ آمَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا وَلَا يُلَقَّاهَا إِلَّا الصَّابِرُونَ |

| Elmalılı | Kendilerine ilim verilmiş olanlar ise, şöyle dediler: "Yazıklar olsun size! İman edip iyi işler yapanlara göre Allah'ın mükafatı daha üstündür. Ona da ancak sabredenler kavuşabilir." |
| Y. Ali | But those who had been granted (true) knowledge said: "Alas for you! The reward of Allah (in the Hereafter) is best for those who believe and work righteousness: but this none shall attain, save those who steadfastly persevere (in good)."

[28:81] | feḫasefnâ bihî vebidârihi-l'arḍa femâ kâne lehû min fietiy yenṣurûnehû min dûni-llâh. vemâ kâne mine-lmünteṣirîn. | فخسفنا به وبداره الأرض فما كان له من فئة ينصرونه من دون الله وما كان من المنتصرين
فَخَسَفْنَا بِهِ وَبِدَارِهِ الْأَرْضَ فَمَا كَانَ لَهُ مِن فِئَةٍ يَنصُرُونَهُ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ الْمُنتَصِرِينَ |

| Elmalılı | Derken biz onu da, sarayını da yerin dibine geçirdik. Artık Allah'a karşı kendisine yardım edecek taraftarları olmadığı gibi, o, kendini savunup kurtarabilecek kimselerden de değildi. |
| Y. Ali | Then We caused the earth to swallow up him and his house; and he had not (the least little) party to help him against Allah, nor could he defend himself.

[28:82] | veaṣbeḥa-lleẕîne temennev mekânehû bil'emsi yeḳûlûne veykeenne-llâhe yebsüṭu-rrizḳa limey yeşâü min `ibâdihî veyaḳdir. levlâ em menne-llâhü `aleynâ leḫasefe binâ. veykeennehû lâ yüfliḥu-lkâfirûn. | وأصبح الذين تمنوا مكانه بالأمس يقولون ويكأن الله يبسط الرزق لمن يشاء من عباده ويقدر لولا أن من الله علينا لخسف بنا ويكأنه لا يفلح الكافرون
وَأَصْبَحَ الَّذِينَ تَمَنَّوْا مَكَانَهُ بِالْأَمْسِ يَقُولُونَ وَيْكَأَنَّ اللَّهَ يَبْسُطُ الرِّزْقَ لِمَن يَشَاءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ وَيَقْدِرُ لَوْلَا أَن مَّنَّ اللَّهُ عَلَيْنَا لَخَسَفَ بِنَا وَيْكَأَنَّهُ لَا يُفْلِحُ الْكَافِرُونَ |

| Elmalılı | Daha dün onun yerinde olmayı isteyenler de: "Demek ki Allah kullarından dilediğine rızkı çok da, az da verir. Şayet Allah bize lütufta bulunmuş olmasaydı, bizi de yerin dibine geçirirdi. Demek ki inkârcılar iflah olmazmış" demeye başladılar. |

Ali | And those who had envied his position the day before began to say on the morrow: "Ah! it is indeed Allah Who enlarges the provision or restricts it, to any of His servants He pleases! had it not been that Allah was gracious to us, He could have caused the earth to swallow us up! Ah! those who reject Allah will assuredly never prosper."

[28:83] | tilke-ddâru-l'âḫiratü nec`alühâ lilleẕîne lâ yürîdûne `ulüvven fi-l'arḍi velâ fesâdâ. vel`âḳibetü lilmütteḳîn. | تلك الدار الآخرة نجعلها للذين لا يريدون علوا في الأرض ولا فسادا والعاقبة للمتقين
تِلْكَ الدَّارُ الْآخِرَةُ نَجْعَلُهَا لِلَّذِينَ لَا يُرِيدُونَ عُلُوًّا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا فَسَادًا وَالْعَاقِبَةُ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ |

| Elmalılı | İşte ahiret yurdu! Biz onu yeryüzünde böbürlenmeyi ve bozgunculuğu arzulamayan kimselere veririz. (En güzel) akıbet, takva sahiplerinindir. |
| Y. Ali | That Home of the Hereafter We shall give to those who intend not high-handedness or mischief on earth: and the end is (best) for the righteous.

[28:84] | men câe bilḥaseneti felehû ḫayrum minhâ. vemen câe bisseyyieti felâ yücze-lleẕîne `amilü-sseyyiâti illâ mâ kânû ya`melûn. | من جاء بالحسنة فله خير منها ومن جاء بالسيئة فلا يجزى الذين عملوا السيئات إلا ما كانوا يعملون
مَن جَاءَ بِالْحَسَنَةِ فَلَهُ خَيْرٌ مِّنْهَا وَمَن جَاءَ بِالسَّيِّئَةِ فَلَا يُجْزَى الَّذِينَ عَمِلُوا السَّيِّئَاتِ إِلَّا مَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ |

| Elmalılı | Kim bir iyilik getirirse ona ondan daha üstün karşılık vardır. Kim bir kötülük getirirse, o kötülükleri işleyenler, ancak yaptıkları kadar ceza görürler. |
| Y. Ali | If any does good, the reward to him is better than his deed; but if any does evil, the doers of evil are only punished (to the extent) of their deeds.

[28:85] | inne-lleẕî feraḍa `aleyke-lḳur'âne lerâddüke ilâ me`âd. ḳur rabbî a`lemü men câe bilhüdâ vemen hüve fî ḍalâlim mübîn. | إن الذي فرض عليك القرآن لرادك إلى معاد قل ربي أعلم من جاء بالهدى ومن هو في ضلال مبين
إِنَّ الَّذِي فَرَضَ عَلَيْكَ الْقُرْآنَ لَرَادُّكَ إِلَى مَعَادٍ قُل رَّبِّي أَعْلَمُ مَن جَاءَ بِالْهُدَى وَمَنْ هُوَ فِي ضَلَالٍ مُّبِينٍ |

| Elmalılı | (Resulüm!) Kur'ân'ı (okumayı, tebliğ etmeyi ve ona uymayı) sana farz kılan Allah, elbette seni (yine) dönülecek yere döndürecektir. De ki: "Rabbim, kimin hidayetle geldiğini ve kimin apaçık bir sapıklık içinde olduğunu en iyi bilendir." |
| Y. Ali | Verily He Who ordained the Qur'an for thee, will bring thee back to the Place of Return. Say: "My Lord knows best who it is that brings true guidance, and who is in manifest error."

[28:86] | vemâ künte tercû ey yülḳâ ileyke-lkitâbü illâ raḥmetem mir rabbike felâ tekûnenne żahîral lilkâfirîn. | وما كنت ترجو أن يلقى إليك الكتاب إلا رحمة من ربك فلا تكونن ظهيرا للكافرين
وَمَا كُنتَ تَرْجُواْ أَن يُلْقَى إِلَيْكَ الْكِتَابُ إِلَّا رَحْمَةً مِّن رَّبِّكَ فَلَا تَكُونَنَّ ظَهِيرًا لِّلْكَافِرِينَ |

| Elmalılı | Sen, bu kitabın sana vahyolunacağını ummuyordun. Bu ancak Rabbinden bir rahmettir. O halde sakın kâfirlere arka çıkma! |
| Y. Ali | And thou hadst not expected that the Book would be sent to thee except as a Mercy from thy Lord: Therefore lend not thou support in any way to those who reject (Allah's Message).

[28:87] | velâ yeṣuddünneke `an âyâti-llâhi ba`de iẕ ünzilet ileyke ved`u ilâ rabbike velâ tekûnenne mine-lmüşrikîn. | ولا يصدنك عن آيات الله بعد إذ أنزلت إليك وادع إلى ربك ولا تكونن من المشركين
وَلَا يَصُدُّنَّكَ عَنْ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ بَعْدَ إِذْ أُنزِلَتْ إِلَيْكَ وَادْعُ إِلَى رَبِّكَ وَلَا تَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ |

| Elmalılı | Allah'ın âyetleri sana indirildikten sonra, artık sakın onlar seni bu âyetlerden alıkoymasınlar. Rabbine davet et. Asla müşriklerden olma! |
| Y. Ali | And let nothing keep thee back from the Signs of Allah after they have been revealed to thee: and invite (men) to thy Lord, and be not of the company of those who join gods with Allah.

[28:88] | velâ ted`u me`a-llâhi ilâhen âḫar. lâ ilâhe illâ hû. küllü şey'in hâlikün illâ vecheh. lehü-lḥukmü veileyhi türce`ûn. | ولا تدع مع الله إلها آخر لا إله إلا هو كل شيء هالك إلا وجهه له الحكم وإليه ترجعون
وَلَا تَدْعُ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَهًا آخَرَ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ كُلُّ شَيْءٍ هَالِكٌ إِلَّا وَجْهَهُ لَهُ الْحُكْمُ وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ |

| Elmalılı | Allah ile birlikte başka bir tanrıya tapıp yalvarma! O'ndan başka tanrı yoktur. O'nun zatından başka her şey helak olacaktır. Hüküm O'nundur ve siz ancak O'na döndürüleceksiniz. |
| Y. Ali | And call not, besides Allah, on another god. There is no god but He. Everything (that exists) will perish except His own Face. To Him belongs the Command, and to Him will ye (all) be brought back.
