| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |
| 1. [9:70] | Alam ya/tihim nabao allatheena minqablihim qawmi noohin waAAadin wathamooda waqawmiibraheema waas-habi madyana waalmu/tafikatiatat-hum rusuluhum bialbayyinati fama kanaAllahu liyathlimahum walakin kanooanfusahum yathlimoona |  ألم يأتهم نبأ الذين من قبلهم قوم نوح وعاد وثمود وقوم إبراهيم وأصحاب مدين والمؤتفكات أتتهم رسلهم بالبينات فما كان الله ليظلمهم ولكن كانوا أنفسهم يظلمونأَلَمْ يَأْتِهِمْ نَبَأُ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ قَوْمِ نُوحٍ وَعَادٍ وَثَمُودَ وَقَوْمِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَأَصْحَابِ مَدْيَنَ وَالْمُؤْتَفِكَاتِ أَتَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُم بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ فَمَا كَانَ اللّهُ لِيَظْلِمَهُمْ وَلَـكِن كَانُواْ أَنفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُونَ | |||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | کیا ان کے پاس ان لوگوں کی خبر نہیں پہنچی جو ان سے پہلے تھے، قومِ نوح اور عاد اور ثمود اور قومِ ابراہیم اور باشندگانِ مدین اور ان بستیوں کے مکین جو الٹ دی گئیں، ان کے پاس (بھی) ان کے رسول واضح نشانیاں لے کر آئے تھے (مگر انہوں نے نافرمانی کی) پس اللہ تو ایسا نہ تھا کہ ان پر ظلم کرتا لیکن وہ (انکارِ حق کے باعث) اپنے اوپر خود ہی ظلم کرتے تھے، | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Hath not the story reached them of those before them?- the People of Noah, and 'Ad, and Thamud; the People of Abraham, the men of Midian, and the cities overthrown. To them came their messengers with clear signs. It is not Allah Who wrongs them, but they wrong their own souls. | ||||||

[29:40] | Fakullan akhathna bithanbihifaminhum man arsalna AAalayhi hasiban waminhum manakhathat-hu alssayhatu waminhum mankhasafna bihi al-arda waminhum man aghraqnawama kana Allahu liyathlimahumwalakin kanoo anfusahum yathlimoona | فكلا أخذنا بذنبه فمنهم من أرسلنا عليه حاصبا ومنهم من أخذته الصيحة ومنهم من خسفنا به الأرض ومنهم من أغرقنا وما كان الله ليظلمهم ولكن كانوا أنفسهم يظلمون فَكُلًّا أَخَذْنَا بِذَنبِهِ فَمِنْهُم مَّنْ أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِ حَاصِبًا وَمِنْهُم مَّنْ أَخَذَتْهُ الصَّيْحَةُ وَمِنْهُم مَّنْ خَسَفْنَا بِهِ الْأَرْضَ وَمِنْهُم مَّنْ أَغْرَقْنَا وَمَا كَانَ اللَّهُ لِيَظْلِمَهُمْ وَلَكِن كَانُوا أَنفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | سو ہم نے (ان میں سے) ہر ایک کو اس کے گناہ کے باعث پکڑ لیا، اور ان میں سے وہ (طبقہ بھی) تھا جس پر ہم نے پتھر برسانے والی آندھی بھیجی اوران میں سے وہ (طبقہ بھی) تھا جسے دہشت ناک آواز نے آپکڑا اور ان میں سے وہ (طبقہ بھی) تھا جسے ہم نے زمین میں دھنسا دیا اور ان میں سے (ایک) وہ (طبقہ بھی) تھا جسے ہم نے غرق کر دیا اور ہرگز ایسا نہ تھا کہ اللہ ان پر ظلم کرے بلکہ وہ خود ہی اپنی جانوں پر ظلم کرتے تھے، | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Each one of them We seized for his crime: of them, against some We sent a violent tornado (with showers of stones); some were caught by a (mighty) Blast; some We caused the earth to swallow up; and some We drowned (in the waters): It was not Allah Who injured (or oppressed) them:" They injured (and oppressed) their own souls. | ||||||

[30:9] | Awa lam yaseeroo fee al-ardi fayanthurookayfa kana AAaqibatu allatheena min qablihimkanoo ashadda minhum quwwatan waatharoo al-ardawaAAamarooha akthara mimma AAamarooha wajaat-humrusuluhum bialbayyinati fama kana Allahuliyathlimahum walakin kanoo anfusahumyathlimoona | أولم يسيروا في الأرض فينظروا كيف كان عاقبة الذين من قبلهم كانوا أشد منهم قوة وأثاروا الأرض وعمروها أكثر مما عمروها وجاءتهم رسلهم بالبينات فما كان الله ليظلمهم ولكن كانوا أنفسهم يظلمون أَوَلَمْ يَسِيرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ فَيَنظُرُوا كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ كَانُوا أَشَدَّ مِنْهُمْ قُوَّةً وَأَثَارُوا الْأَرْضَ وَعَمَرُوهَا أَكْثَرَ مِمَّا عَمَرُوهَا وَجَاءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُم بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ فَمَا كَانَ اللَّهُ لِيَظْلِمَهُمْ وَلَكِن كَانُوا أَنفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | کیا ان لوگوں نے زمین میں سَیر و سیاحت نہیں کی تاکہ وہ دیکھ لیتے کہ ان لوگوں کا انجام کیا ہوا جو ان سے پہلے تھے، وہ لوگ اِن سے زیادہ طاقتور تھے، اور انہوں نے زمین میں زراعت کی تھی اور اسے آباد کیا تھا، اس سے کہیں بڑھ کر جس قدر اِنہوں نے زمین کو آباد کیا ہے، پھر ان کے پاس ان کے پیغمبر واضح نشانیاں لے کر آئے تھے، سو اﷲ ایسا نہ تھا کہ ان پر ظلم کرتا، لیکن وہ خود ہی اپنی جانوں پر ظلم کر رہے تھے، | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Do they not travel through the earth, and see what was the end of those before them? They were superior to them in strength: they tilled the soil and populated it in greater numbers than these have done: there came to them their messengers with Clear (Signs). (Which they rejected, to their own destruction): It was not Allah Who wronged them, but they wronged their own souls. | ||||||
