| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |
| 1. [18:12] | Thumma baAAathnahum linaAAlama ayyualhizbayni ahsa lima labithoo amadan |  ثم بعثناهم لنعلم أي الحزبين أحصى لما لبثوا أمداثُمَّ بَعَثْنَاهُمْ لِنَعْلَمَ أَيُّ الْحِزْبَيْنِ أَحْصَى لِمَا لَبِثُوا أَمَدًا | |||||

[18:26] | Quli Allahu aAAlamu bimalabithoo lahu ghaybu alssamawati waal-ardiabsir bihi waasmiAA ma lahum min doonihi minwaliyyin wala yushriku fee hukmihi ahadan | قل الله أعلم بما لبثوا له غيب السماوات والأرض أبصر به وأسمع ما لهم من دونه من ولي ولا يشرك في حكمه أحدا قُلِ اللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا لَبِثُوا لَهُ غَيْبُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ أَبْصِرْ بِهِ وَأَسْمِعْ مَا لَهُم مِّن دُونِهِ مِن وَلِيٍّ وَلاَ يُشْرِكُ فِي حُكْمِهِ أَحَدًا | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | فرما دیجئے: اﷲ ہی بہتر جانتا ہے کہ وہ کتنی مدت (وہاں) ٹھہرے رہے، آسمانوں اور زمین کی (سب) پوشیدہ باتیں اسی کے علم میں ہیں، کیا خوب دیکھنے والا اور کیاخوب سننے والا ہے، اس کے سوا ان کا نہ کوئی کارساز ہے اور نہ وہ اپنے حکم میں کسی کو شریک فرماتا ہے، | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Say: "Allah knows best how long they stayed: with Him is (the knowledge of) the secrets of the heavens and the earth: how clearly He sees, how finely He hears (everything)! They have no protector other than Him; nor does He share His Command with any person whatsoever. | ||||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | اور جس دن قیامت برپا ہوگی مُجرم لوگ قَسمیں کھائیں گے کہ وہ (دنیا میں) ایک گھڑی کے سوا ٹھہرے ہی نہیں تھے، اسی طرح وہ (دنیا میں بھی حق سے) پھرے رہتے تھے، | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | On the Day that the Hour (of Reckoning) will be established, the transgressors will swear that they tarried not but an hour: thus were they used to being deluded! | ||||||

[34:14] | Falamma qadaynaAAalayhi almawta ma dallahum AAala mawtihi illadabbatu al-ardi ta/kulu minsaatahu falammakharra tabayyanati aljinnu an law kanoo yaAAlamoonaalghayba ma labithoo fee alAAathabi almuheeni | فلما قضينا عليه الموت ما دلهم على موته إلا دابة الأرض تأكل منسأته فلما خر تبينت الجن أن لو كانوا يعلمون الغيب ما لبثوا في العذاب المهين فَلَمَّا قَضَيْنَا عَلَيْهِ الْمَوْتَ مَا دَلَّهُمْ عَلَى مَوْتِهِ إِلَّا دَابَّةُ الْأَرْضِ تَأْكُلُ مِنسَأَتَهُ فَلَمَّا خَرَّ تَبَيَّنَتِ الْجِنُّ أَن لَّوْ كَانُوا يَعْلَمُونَ الْغَيْبَ مَا لَبِثُوا فِي الْعَذَابِ الْمُهِينِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر جب ہم نے سلیمان (علیہ السلام) پر موت کا حکم صادر فرما دیا تو اُن (جنّات) کو ان کی موت پر کسی نے آگاہی نہ کی سوائے زمین کی دیمک کے جو اُن کے عصا کو کھاتی رہی، پھر جب آپ کا جسم زمین پر آگیا تو جنّات پر ظاہر ہوگیا کہ اگر وہ غیب جانتے ہوتے تو اس ذلّت انگیز عذاب میں نہ پڑے رہتے، | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Then, when We decreed (Solomon's) death, nothing showed them his death except a little worm of the earth, which kept (slowly) gnawing away at his staff: so when he fell down, the Jinns saw plainly that if they had known the unseen, they would not have tarried in the humiliating Penalty (of their Task). | ||||||
