| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |
| 1. [19:39] | Waanthirhum yawma alhasrati ithqudiya al-amru wahum fee ghaflatin wahum layu/minoona |  وأنذرهم يوم الحسرة إذ قضي الأمر وهم في غفلة وهم لا يؤمنونوَأَنْذِرْهُمْ يَوْمَ الْحَسْرَةِ إِذْ قُضِيَ الْأَمْرُ وَهُمْ فِي غَفْلَةٍ وَهُمْ لاَ يُؤْمِنُونَ | |||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | اور آپ انہیں حسرت (و ندامت) کے دن سے ڈرائیے جب (ہر) بات کا فیصلہ کردیا جائے گا، مگر وہ غفلت (کی حالت) میں پڑے ہیں اور ایمان لاتے ہی نہیں، | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | But warn them of the Day of Distress, when the matter will be determined: for (behold,) they are negligent and they do not believe! | ||||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | لوگوں کے لئے ان کے حساب کا وقت قریب آپہنچا مگر وہ غفلت میں (پڑے طاعت سے) منہ پھیرے ہوئے ہیں، | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Closer and closer to mankind comes their Reckoning: yet they heed not and they turn away. | ||||||

[21:97] | Waiqtaraba alwaAAdu alhaqqufa-itha hiya shakhisatun absaru allatheenakafaroo ya waylana qad kunna fee ghaflatinmin hatha bal kunna thalimeena | واقترب الوعد الحق فإذا هي شاخصة أبصار الذين كفروا يا ويلنا قد كنا في غفلة من هذا بل كنا ظالمين وَاقْتَرَبَ الْوَعْدُ الْحَقُّ فَإِذَا هِيَ شَاخِصَةٌ أَبْصَارُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا يَا وَيْلَنَا قَدْ كُنَّا فِي غَفْلَةٍ مِّنْ هَذَا بَلْ كُنَّا ظَالِمِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور (قیامت کا) سچا وعدہ قریب ہو جائے گا تو اچانک کافر لوگوں کی آنکھیں کھلی رہ جائیں گی (وہ پکار اٹھیں گے:) ہائے ہماری شومئ قسمت! کہ ہم اس (دن کی آمد) سے غفلت میں پڑے رہے بلکہ ہم ظالم تھے، | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Then will the true promise draw nigh (of fulfilment): then behold! the eyes of the Unbelievers will fixedly stare in horror: "Ah! Woe to us! we were indeed heedless of this; nay, we truly did wrong!" | ||||||

[28:15] | Wadakhala almadeenata AAala heenighaflatin min ahliha fawajada feeha rajulayniyaqtatilani hatha min sheeAAatihi wahathamin AAaduwwihi faistaghathahu allathee minsheeAAatihi AAala allathee min AAaduwwihifawakazahu moosa faqada AAalayhi qala hathamin AAamali alshshaytani innahu AAaduwwun mudillunmubeenun | ودخل المدينة على حين غفلة من أهلها فوجد فيها رجلين يقتتلان هذا من شيعته وهذا من عدوه فاستغاثه الذي من شيعته على الذي من عدوه فوكزه موسى فقضى عليه قال هذا من عمل الشيطان إنه عدو مضل مبين وَدَخَلَ الْمَدِينَةَ عَلَى حِينِ غَفْلَةٍ مِّنْ أَهْلِهَا فَوَجَدَ فِيهَا رَجُلَيْنِ يَقْتَتِلَانِ هَذَا مِن شِيعَتِهِ وَهَذَا مِنْ عَدُوِّهِ فَاسْتَغَاثَهُ الَّذِي مِن شِيعَتِهِ عَلَى الَّذِي مِنْ عَدُوِّهِ فَوَكَزَهُ مُوسَى فَقَضَى عَلَيْهِ قَالَ هَذَا مِنْ عَمَلِ الشَّيْطَانِ إِنَّهُ عَدُوٌّ مُّضِلٌّ مُّبِينٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور موسٰی (علیہ السلام) شہرِ (مصر) میں داخل ہوئے اس حال میں کہ شہر کے باشندے (نیند میں) غافل پڑے تھے، تو انہوں نے اس میں دو مَردوں کو باہم لڑتے ہوئے پایا یہ (ایک) تو ان کے (اپنے) گروہ (بنی اسرائیل) میں سے تھا اور یہ (دوسرا) ان کے دشمنوں (قومِ فرعون) میں سے تھا، پس اس شخص نے جو انہی کے گروہ میں سے تھا آپ سے اس شخص کے خلاف مدد طلب کی جو آپ کے دشمنوں میں سے تھا پس موسٰی (علیہ السلام) نے اسے مکّا مارا تو اس کا کام تمام کردیا، (پھر) فرمانے لگے: یہ شیطان کا کام ہے (جو مجھ سے سرزَد ہوا ہے)، بیشک وہ صریح بہکانے والا دشمن ہے، | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And he entered the city at a time when its people were not watching: and he found there two men fighting,- one of his own religion, and the other, of his foes. Now the man of his own religion appealed to him against his foe, and Moses struck him with his fist and made an end of him. He said: "This is a work of Evil (Satan): for he is an enemy that manifestly misleads!" | ||||||

| 5. [50:22] | Laqad kunta fee ghaflatin min hathafakashafna AAanka ghitaaka fabasarukaalyawma hadeedun | لقد كنت في غفلة من هذا فكشفنا عنك غطاءك فبصرك اليوم حديد لَقَدْ كُنتَ فِي غَفْلَةٍ مِّنْ هَذَا فَكَشَفْنَا عَنكَ غِطَاءَكَ فَبَصَرُكَ الْيَوْمَ حَدِيدٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | حقیقت میں تُو اِس (دن) سے غفلت میں پڑا رہا سو ہم نے تیرا پردۂ (غفلت) ہٹا دیا پس آج تیری نگاہ تیز ہے، | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | (It will be said:) "Thou wast heedless of this; now have We removed thy veil, and sharp is thy sight this Day!" | ||||||
